Little Red Riding Hood

Hi All .... This card has taken me a total of 4 evenings to create, honestly I am so slow, it took me 2 evenings to colour the image, and then 2 evenings to make the card, sometimes I think it takes me more time to decide what I am doing than anything else!!  ... A Little Note of Thanks

Hi All,

This is a little thank you card I have made for my sisters, using a My Besties image .... I have loved these images forever, however I have only just got round to purchasing some in the last few months, I really enjoyed having a play with this one.

I have coloured this one using my trusty copics.

Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Lips - R89, R29, R20
Hair - E29, E25, E21, R22, R20
Dress&Shoes G85, YG09, YG07, YG05, YG00, Y000
Socks&Bow C7, R89, R85, R83, R81
Flowers- C5, RV29, RV23, RV21 Centers - E15, Y17, Y14, Y02

I tried adding a watercolour background, however I wasn't thrilled with how it turned out so I added a a little Picket Fence distress ink, and added some stamping round the edges with my trusty Kanban Flourish stamp.

I have teamed it up with some papers from Bo Bunny - A gift of love
The sentiment is paper expressions
and I have added some Anita's Dimensional stickers ( not really my style now .... I think die cuts have moved us all away from using stickers, but I really need to to use up some of my HUGE stash!! )

Hello Hello

Hi All,

Thourally enjoyed making this one. The image is from tiddly inks and I used my copic's to colour her up.

Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair - W9, W7, W5, W3,W1
OutFit - C5, R59, R29, R27, R22
Pen and Boots - C10, C7, C7, C5, C3, C1

I made an envelope using the WRMK punch board and then I made a little card and glued it inside, the cream card has been stamped with a script stamp from Bo Bunny and the Hello sentiment is a Anna Griffen stamp. The papers are from Paper a.t.d - story of us & Anna Griffen.

The little bow was actually a tiny headband that came with an outfit for my daughter when she was a baby, however I wasn't into putting stuff in her hair so it found its way in my craft stash.

Copic Journal

Hello All,

Well as you all know I have been taking the Kit and Clowder classes, I have completed the skin and hair one and I am almost done on the clothing one too ... In the classes Alyce encourages us to keep a copic journal, I so see the value in that, but as yet I have not yet started one, .... so this is me getting started.

The image is Saturated Canary image and surprisingly enough I have coloured her with copic's .. LOL

Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair - E47, E19, E17, E13, E11
Apron - 100, BG09, BG05, BG02, BG01, BG000
T-Shirt - 100, B39, B37, B34, B32
Stripy top - B97, B95, B93, B91
Trousers - 100, C10, C7, C5, C3, C1

This journal was a lot simpler, but I had issues with a rub on and damaged the image :-( .... So I had to embellish further to cover it up, I think it was a happy accident, as I prefer it, I dont know I think I quite like journals that look busy :-)

Products used:

Blank Journal - hobby craft
Red Card - Co-ordinations
Teal paper - DCWV/going green
Polka Dot lettering and Tag - Daisy D's - Lullaby collection
Letters - Basic Grey
Dies - X cut and Sissex
Rub On's - Pink Paislee

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

My Favourite makes from 2014

Hi All,

So excited that I actually have enough posts on my blog this year, that I can look through and choose my Favorite makes of the year to join in with Debbie's fav 5 .... I have sneeked an extra 2 in this year !!

Love this one!! .. Image Tiddly Inks, I coloured it during a colouring session and then was so delighted when I found papers that matched perfectly :-)

This is so fabulously girly .... love that dress - image scraperry/Sugar Nellie

I like this one, as I had just learned how to colour dip died hair, and love the whole monochrome look with the tiny splash of colour - Image krista Smith/Sugar Nellie

Not my usual girly image .... but do love it none the less, love the combo of the papers, its so bright and cheerful, think it was well liked by my blogging friends too as it received a lot of comments, on this one. Image - hobbyhouse
Fairly Simple card, but I love how this turned out - Image Saturated Canary

Couldnt resist sneeking a couple of extra's in ..... I so love this image, being a tea Jenny it totally appeals ... again kept the image as the main focus and the details minimal. Image - Saturated Canary

This one is a very different look for me, but something about it just really appeals. I was bought a full set of inktence pencils for my anniversary and this was the first time I had a play with them .... really need to get them out a bit more ... this that may be a goal for 2015!!

As I was looking through my cards from last year the main thing I have noticed is the improvement in my colouring skills. This is down to taking part in the classes over at Kit and Clowder If you love colouring and look at other colourists and think I wish I could colour like that, I can not recommend these classes highly enough, its amazing how quickly they improve your skills. Just as a brief illustration of that I thought I would show you a couple of before's and afters so you can see what a difference it makes:

Here is the my offical one from before and after I took the skin and hair class ... love that I have been taught to do no lines colouring :-)

And these are a couple that I did just for fun as I am working on the clothing class.

This has been a loooong post so thanks for staying with me,
Crafty Hugs to you all
Juls
