Thank You Donalda

Hi all, It has been a while since I have posted, I have had some visitors over the weekend, and I am getting ready to go away at the end of the week, so I have had no time to craft!!

However last night I went round to a friends house to do some crafting, it was great we drank wine, ate choc's and had a blether..well at least some of the time the rest of it we sat in silence as we were both concentrating so much.

I got chance to have a play with my new magnolia stamp that I got sent from Donalda so thank you Donalda I have loved having a play with my new stamps! If you get a chance please pop across to her blog she has some amazing cards!!

Unfortunately all the paper I used on this card was from my friends scrap box so I have no details sorry!!

The rest of the evening I was working on some stuff ready for my DT post for the new challenge blog By The Cute & Girly If you have not had chance yet, please pop over and have a look. Jane has put so much work into creating this challenge blog and has some amazing sponsors..which will mean brilliant prizes!!

If you have not had a look recently it would be worth popping across to see just who the sponsors are, and also photos of the DT are there, Its great to see the people behind the cards!

The Joys of Blogging....

Well I have to laugh and apologise with this one...This is a little gift card I made for a friend..we got him an e-mail voucher for HMV so there is a little message saying "check your inbox"

Well I had it all ready to give...The recipient was coming over in about 5 min, and I suddenly realised that I had not yet taken a photo, so I quickly tore open the envelope and snapped some photo's and that's why I have to apologise the photo's are shocking..but the whole incident just struck me as extremely funny,

Again the pocket of this card was created by using an envelope and piece of card.

I have used the "manga boy from sugar nellie" the papers are "K&Co Amy Butler - sola collection" The image has been coloured using my whispers pens and have added some faux stitching. I plan on entering this into the following challenges: - Teenage boys - Faking it - Hidden Treasure

Finally I am going to practice using a sheduled post, as I think it is something that I really need to learn how to do, so here's hoping that it will work!!!

Gorjuss Crafting Princess

This is a little gift card I have made for a friend who is celebrating her wedding anniversary. Like me she is totally addicted to craft.

I have made this card by sticking 2 envelopes to a piece of card and then decorating. In one envelope there is a gift voucher for Papercraft in Elgin (home of sugar nellie) and as it may be a while before she will get a chance to go through there and spend her goodies, in the other envelope I am going to put some stamped images.

To make this card, I have used the lovely Grojuss Girls from Sugar Nellie. The paper is "K&Co Amy Butler - Sola collection" The vellum sentiment is also "K&Co"
It has then been finished off with Prima flowers, a few pearls, some peel off swirls and dots.

I plan on entering this into the following challenges:
Swirls and Pearls Strawberry Mint Julep

Hope you all like it!!

By The Cute and Girly

Hi all...

As you know I was shouting from the rooftops about my new DT position that Jane kindly offered me for her new challenge blog

This is something that Jane has wanted to do for a long time, and it is really exciting as no matter what your craft is we are wanting to see it !!

Please pop across to The Cute and Girly challenge blog, and we would love it if you would become a follower!!....lots of fun planned and we want everyone to be a part of it!! Oh..and Jane has offered the most amazing girly candy!!!!

and of course a HUGE thank you to Jane who is making this possible for all of us!!

Embellished Mojo

Well...what a week!! My lovely parcel from Emma arrived this morning! So I am looking forward to having a play and I will show you all the results!! I also won another bit of candy last night from the gorgeous designer Melanie please check out her blog..she has some gorgeous creations over there!!

Finally got round to doing my Mojo card..I have used "Stampendous!-classic anniversary" stamp. and my "Papermania - touch of pink" have come out the box again..They are just so striking! definatly a fav of mine!!

This is my entry for:

Also I wanted to embellish it with black flowers, but I didn't have any so all of these have been attacked with black stazon ink!! My craft room..scissors and fingers are probably now permanently stained!! I love flowers..but my absolute Fav embellishment has to be gems..I have used "Kanban" Gems in the centre of the flowers and the black gems are "Prima - say it in swirls"

Its also my entry for: the theme there is "Embellish it"

P.S - the strip across the bottom of the card looks totally squint!! It really is not in real life, you can tell by looking at the pattern..must be some strange optical illusion thing!! weird!!

Well off to make the best of the afternoon and fit as much card making in as I can!!

Exciting News.......

Wow!! what a day I have had......

I started my blog on the 15th June this year... stating that I had finally taken the plunge to start my own blog as a result of Karen from Sugar Nellie giving her tip for the day which was..."go for it, you never know where your crafting will take you "

Well today I was contacted by the lovely Jane and asked to be a DT for her new challenge blog that she is creating "By The Cute & Girly" !!

Please pop over to her blog and read more about it

How exciting is that!!! I still have butterflies in my tummy! and I am a little shocked and stunned...and of course extremely flattered to be asked!!

Jane is still in the process of organising everything but as I get more details..I will keep you all posted..

Now I'm off to attempt to make some cards..not sure if I will manage as I am still shaking so much!!

Hugs to you all !!!!!!!

With Attitude...

I have bought myself a whole load of new nellies that have not been inked yet..but sometimes you still have to pull out the old favorites! I think it was because when I bought this paper "Bo Bunny - Love Shack Shake" I had this little lady in mind! again I have coloured using my "whispers" pens, and I have inked around the edge with "distress ink - worn lipstick"

This is my entry for which is a colour challenge this week..Orange Teal and Pink,

The paper which has been sat there since my July shopping trip seemed just perfect for the challenge and I have coloured the flowers orange (although they look more yellow in the photo!)
and I think that's about it!!

In a State of SHOCK..

I have never won anything in my life.....until I made a home in blogland.

A couple of weeks ago I got a gorgeous mini kit from Stephanie

Now 2 days in a row Mr Random has been really nice to me..

I won the lovely Emma's candy if you have time pop across to see Emma, she has some really gorgeous cards.

Today I have just been checking on all of Thursdays challenges to find that I won $20 of Simon says vouchers at Charisma Cardz challenge!!

and all I can say is I am absolutely stunned!! and excited!! I am now off to make a cuppa, so I can recover from the shock!

Romance for Mice

I had a great night card making last night..sometimes it just doesn't seem to go right, but actually last night I was on a bit of a roll, and quite happy with the results.

I made the blue card 1st and then liked it so much I made a 2nd card..and well you all know red is a fav with me!! but now I'm not sure which I like best..what do you all think?

Tea For Two Card:

I have used:
"Penny Black" Stamp for main image and the little flourish stamp is also "Penny Black"
"Paper Adventures - Blue Scroll" & "Daisy D's - Lullaby papers (boys)"
I have inked around the edge of the image with "whispers ink - Whisper blue and Starry Starry night", and coloured image with whispers pens.
The sentiment is printed from my computer,
I have used, adhesive pearls and a brad in the corner from "Le Blanche"
and of course a little "stickles"!!

Cherry Romance card:

I have used:
"Penny Black stamps"
"Daisy D's - Lullaby papers (girl)" and "Basic Grey - Blush, eternity"
I have inked around the edges of the image using "distress ink - worn lipstick" and "whispers ink - grand cranberry" and coloured with my whispers pens. I have gone over the cherries with "Anita's Glaze"
the flower is from "prima" and I have used some "dovecraft" brads and again finished off with stickles!! (I just cant craft without that stuff!!)

This is my entry for: sketch & include mice in your design. Polka dots

Simon Says....follow the sketch

This is the card I have made using the sketch over at It is just about recognisable I got my proportions a bit wrong but I quite like the way it turned out!

I have used one of my new nellies, I have cut out that cat and chopped of the wings, I always like to try and use stamps in a slightly different way. I have coloured her using my "whispers pens" The oval shapes are bits left over from old aperture cards I have inked the main one with "distress ink - worn lipstick and shabby shutters" the background one is just the shabby shutters and has been put through an embossing cuttlebug folder and then sanded off a little.

The papers are "basic grey - lemonade" and the little flourish stamp is from " stamptivity" the flowers and swirls are from "prima" and the little brads in the centre are "basic grey"

The ribbon is leftover from the very gorgeous kit sent to me by Stephanie.

I love this image! I think her eyes are really quirky so I have tried to emphasise that by putting "Anita's glaze" over her eyes and lips. The frill of her dress has been stamped twice to add a little dimension, and everything has been covered in lots and lots of stickles!!

And I think that has been me waffling on far to long now!!....

Hang in There..

This is the card I have made for the which is "something for the boys" have to say I am rubbish when it comes to making cards for the blokes!!

Kept this card clean and simple! used "Stamps Happen, inc - The Art of Casting" I have coloured it in using my whispers pens, the sentiment has been printed from my computer..lots of faux stitching as normal and then 3 adhesive Kanban black pearls.

Hope you like it

Thursday 3 September 2009

Little Madam!!

Now I wonder why I thought of this little Gorjuss girl when I saw this sentiment!! Just thought they worked so well together.

The paper and the embellishments are from the "Bo Bunny - Alissa range" I have also embossed
some pearlised paper and the a "cuttlebug embossing folder" finally I have added some peel off swirls and dots, some little adhesive pearls also although you cant see it, I have used glossy accents on her shoes to make them shiny! and loads of stickles, as any little princess whether she wants to be one or not, needs sparkle!!

I am going to enter it into as the challenge there is swirls, curls with added hearts. there are 3 kinds of swirls on the paper, the embossing detail, and also the added peel off swirls. and the hearts are in her dress.

Just as a quick P.S I have my inlaws coming to visit tomorrow and are staying for the weekend, so don't think I will get much chance to pop into blogland! so I apologise if I am not commenting as much as normal, guess it would be a bit rude to spend the whole time on my the computer is actually in the spare room where they will be sleeping!!! So hope you all have a fab weekend and I will catch up with you all next week!!

This time I have a whole little Manga Family! again using the gorgeous "SN stamps". The paper and journaling tag is "Bo-Bunny - Flutter Butter" The little flowers are prima flowers.

This is my entry for: - Pearls - Blue and Brown (the paper looks more blue in real life!) - Blue and Brown - Anything baby goes

In Love Manga...

This is a little anniversary card I have created using the sugar nellie Manga kids (part of my new purchases from the weekend)..I have also used some Bo Bunny paper - Allisa swirls paper. (purchased from Millies moments a new craft shop that opened up near Aberdeen at the weekend) and added some stickles and some little pearls.

I have used the sketch from

I also plan on entering it into: - Round (some kind of circles on your project) - circles
