Kissy Moo

Hello All,

I know some of you thought I was completely mad and bonkers after my last post (he he!!) so I have no idea what you will think now!! All I can say is that I think too much children's TV is responsible for this one! My life has been reduced to cbeebies and the gigglebellies!!

On the Gigglebellies there is a cow named Kissy Moo, when I made the colour me card, the image reminded me of Kissy Moo, although she is turquoise with blue dots ... I prefer penut the elephant who is purple with polka dots!! and that was the inspiration for my card.

The papers are from the scrap pile .... ( I was planning on doing a monthly update, but honestly you really cant see a difference, even if I was to do it quarterly you would still not notice the difference, I am working at it with determination though )

Its is a Marij Rahder and the flowers and toadstools are little elements from my new Katy Sue stamps that I still need to have a proper play with yet. I have coulered the images with copics, and then I have gone over Kissy Moo with a little twinkiling H20 for some added sparkle.

I'm Not A Witch....

Hi All,

Its my Anniversary soon, and this is the card I have made for hubby. I have gone for funny this year. We both love the film "Princess Bride" We always quote from the film in daily conversations. ie, when hubby goes off to work, when he leaves I will say "have fun storming the castle", "true love - there's nothing like it, except for an M.L.T where the mutton is nice and lean" ...... I honestly could go on and on, there have in fact been times that we have managed to have an entire conversation using only quotes from this film.

In the film there is the quote "I'm not a Witch, I'm your Wife" I say to hubby all the time. So when I saw Krista's images I got the inspiration for this card.

I have designed the card using Seriff again. I love the creative possibility of using digital stamps within Seriff. I have combined a Saturated Canary digi stamp with a Crafty Makes digi. I have also used various digi Kits including elements from a polkadoodle cd.

Although this was designed digitally it was by no means a quick card, it took me a good few hours to design. Another 2-3 hours to colour, I have used copic's and prisma's. and then another 20 minutes or  so to create the decoupage elements.

I am really happy with the results, and I am hoping it will make hubby smile.

I'm Possible

Hi All,

This is a page I started so long ago that it is unbelievable. It has so many layers as I was continually unhappy so have covered with collage, Gesso whatever I could find ... Finally I think I am happy with it!

I have used scrap paers, Gesso. Dylusion Inks. Acrylic paint, stencils, cosmic shimmer drawing inks, prisma pencils .... The girl is a little doodle of mine, and I have tried to do some zentangle on the branch of the tree.

Colour Me

Hi All,

Check me, a post 2 days in a row!! and I even got into the loft last night so have a few more things ready to post, you never know I may become a regular blogger again!!!

This is a quick and simple card! I saw this idea on pinterest and thought it was brilliant!! I love the idea of a card that a child can colour in themselves. I kept the card simple as I thought it should be about their work of art, not mine.

I tried to think of stamps I owned that were nice and open, and would be possible to colour with crayons. I have some of the fabulous Marij Rahder stamps, so I used some of them .... and of course it some scraps in the background!!

This was also so quick to make, I made 3 with different images, think it may be an idea that I will return to a lot!

Ladies Diary

Hi All, I am finally having a play with the Graphic 45 - Ladies Diary papers that I bought a while ago. When I made my sisters travel journal (which you can see here) I had an A4 notepad that was just lying around the loft - (I think I bought it when I was 16 and decided I would become a novelist ... think too much Anne of Green Gable and Little Women responsible for that notion!!) So I chopped it up to make the Journal, and had some left over sections, and so I had the idea of making this book.

It means I have also got to play with my Cinch ... fabulous toy, that is rapidly gaining dust ... I dont use it nearly as much as I should. The diary opens up with a magnetic catch.

As I you know I am on a mission to clear my scraps ... I do dip into my scraps a lot however I think the frustration comes from the fact that I add to the scrap pile as quickly or if not quicker than I use it up, so my resolve now is when I do cut into nice new paper, I keep going until it is all used up and I have no scraps left.

As a result, I had just intended to decorate the cover of this book, however in the mission to use up all my papers, I have decorated all the insides too ... and have fancy matting and layering on the back page ... to house my "Handmade by" details...... so this will turn into a rather picture heavy post!!

I do have the tiniest pile of scraps left from this .... however it was 12pm last night That I finished so past bed time!! So next time I'm in the loft the 1st task will be to make a card with those few scraps.

Little Emily

Hello All,

My friend had a little girl last week. I had no baby girl cards in my stash, and I had to do one quickly and knew I did not have the time to "craft" one traditionally .... and yet I cant get a shop bought one now can I?

Serif to the rescue!! I have produced this card in Serif so it is completely flat. I have used a saturated canary image, which I then coloured using my prisma pencils.

The fab thing about doing a card in Serif is that I removed the name, and saved, then within seconds I changed all the colour ways, so I now have a blue, pink and neutral version saved in case of emergency!!

I did have a good long play in the loft last night ... but I am not finished, so hopefully I will have a handcrafted project to share with you soon.

Love to All

I don't have Attitude ...

Hello All,

Its been a while, my crafting life is a little hit and miss at the mo, so once again it has been a while ... baby has miraculously gone off to sleep early tonight, so I am doing a quick post here then I am off to play in my loft!!

This is a little canvas I have made for a friends craft room ( I am so envious!!) She was just introduced to craftting at the end of last year, and had a spare room, its now a craft room, and she has decorated it in a hot pink ... its fabulous!! .... I am hoping she will not be offended by this, but she sent me this quote in a message, and I just thought it would team perfectly with this fabulous gorjuss girl!

This is a few evenings worth of playing .... I have done a distressed paint effect on the frame. The canvas has been covered with pan pastels,  I used embossing paste through a stencil and covered with glitter while wet. I have coloured my little girl with copics, a few die cuts and gems later this is my finished effect!

This is my first attempt at a canvas, I really enjoyed doing it.
