On The Mend

Hello All,

I am back with a Loralie image today.......I do love this one, I actually bought a few of these some of them have not been inked up yet! shocking!!! yet I just keep getting drawn to this one!

I have added some stripes to her dress and given her some glasses, as a slightly different look. I have coloured with copics, added some touches of glitter with a Marvy Glitter pen. and I have added some glossy accents to the glasses. The paper is from "Bo Bunny". All the edges have been inked with "distress ink - shabby shutters" and the lace border has been created with a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment has been created on my computer.......and I think that's about it.

This is my entry for:

Allsorts - spots and stripes (spotty paper & stripes in her dress)

Lets Sparkle!!!!

Hello All,

Well it's been a long long time since I have managed 2 posts in one day!.....My Lovely Kanban stamps arrived today, I have to say that I am so glad that kanban have started doing a lot more stamps, I was always so frustrated because they produce some lovely images, that I would love to play with, but I don't really want toppers!!!!!!!!!!! This set is so so gorgeous!!.......

I decided to try the clean and simple look.........I have had immense fun today playing with all my loose glitters, It has been ages since I have done that, I normally stick to stickles or a marvy glitter pen as it is less messy, but I have to say I have enjoyed getting absolutely covered in glitter...and I really am covered!!!!!!!

This is my entry for:

Crafty Catz - Black & White plus one
Totally Gorjuss - Sparkle
Oh Alice - checkerboard (the design in her dress)
Papertake weekly - Sparkly and bright
Fab and Funky - keeping it clean and simple
ABC - G is for glitter

Here is a photo of my workspace. I had to laugh, last time I joined in the WOYWW everyone thought I was tidy and organized....which is hilarious, my darling hubby found that even funnier than I did!!! So here is the state of my desk tonight...that's just the desk, we also have the floor to consider!!! Yes that is a cheeky wee glass of wine that you see....My Hubby brought it through for me, and well I couldn't say no!!........think I must have been concentrating on colouring in too much, as I have hardly drunk any!! LOL!!

Vintage Baby

Hello All,

A quick card from me today.......still with the baby theme. The fabulous stamp is one I bought years and years ago, unfortunately I have no details for it at all. I have stamped the image with "adirondack - latte" I used the 2nd impression as the first was too dark, and I did the same to create the background using a "Le Blanche" stamp. All the edges have been inked up using "distress ink - antique linen"

Finally I added a rub on, which came from a K&Co kit from qvc which I bought when I started off this whole card making lark! unfortunately it had been badly treated and bashed about a bit in the bottom of a big box so half of it was missing, that's why the mat overlaps the sentiment slightly...and I have it artistically coming off the page!!!! LOL!!!!....then I have just added a touch of organza ribbon and some pearls which have been colour tinted with copics.

Baby Boy

Hello All,

Well I finally have a card, i started it last week and finished this morning. I was asked for some baby cards a while ago, and I still have not finished them. I got distracted by all my lovely new stamps......when I have new things to play with I find it difficult to get inspired for things I have to make, I think thats why it took me so long to get this one done, and I am still not sure of the finished result.

The stamp is "WOJ", and I have used "g.c.d studios - Ella Blue".......I just LOVE that paper!!!! All the edges have been colour tinted with "distress ink - antique linen" for the swirl I have used "sizzix - flourish and hearts" and the flower is " Tim Holtz - tattered rose"....I have added a little sparkle with to the swirls with "stickles" and finally added some pearls which have been coloured with my copics to colour match & finally the lace border is created using a "martha stewart" punch.

this is my entry for:

Whiff of Joy - distressing
One Stitch at a time - all celebrations (new baby)
A Spoonfull of Sugar - Lets get punchy

Hello All,

I have not had much time to craft, I have just come back from a visiting the inlaws, which was lovely...we managed to fit in a shopping trip to Glasgow, so I did visit the fabulous " Craft World" at Hillington industrial estate.....i have just had no time to play yet. i am still catching up with house work....and my work inbox...oh the joys!

Anyway I just thought I would share a little scrapling that I made a few weeks ago. the image is "Nickki & friends" and I have coloured with copics...the papers are from my scrap pile, and the lovely lace is "doodle bug"

Hopefully I will be back soon, if I manage to squeeze a little crafting in.......

Ahhh-Tissue!!!!

Hello All ,

I went to bed the other night, after I had made the card in the post below, and suddenly thought, if I used a tissue instead of a pea it would make a great get well card.....as much as I would have loved to have got up right there and then, I really had to get to sleep....although at times that can be difficult when you have so many card making ideas floating around your head......I honestly think I have more ideas floating around than cards I make, the trouble is before I get them all made I have found something else I MUST have....and then the whole idea's floating about thing starts all over again!!!......LOL

Anyway, this is another card made from my scrap pile...(and although I have mentioned that scrap pile so many times in my blogging life, I am still no where near making a dent)...I think it is "Basic Grey"

The fab image is "Sugar Nellie" and the sentiment stamp is " HOTP" all the edges have been inked with "distress ink - antique linen"

Honestly there are times when I question my sanity, I was looking for something to create the centre of my flowers, then I saw the pile of little blue punched dots from the waste from the "martha stewart" punch...and found myself picking them up and attaching with a glue pen!!!!! HONESTLY.....and I wonder why it takes me so long to make a card!

This is my entry for

Allsorts - Bingo (diagonal punch, flowers, pearls)
Tuesday Throwdown - Anything Goes

Princess & The Pea

Hello All,

Well I am back with another Fabulous "Simply Sassy" image from "Sugar Nellie".......I have to say these images are just so much fun to colour you can get so creative with them! LOVING it!!!! For this image I drew in the Pea, it was originally in Krista's original drawing, but not part of the stamp...however I thought it was an adorable touch!

Also it reminded me of my sister in Law.....when she was single she had so many layers on her bed you would not believe!!! honestly blankets and duvets galore!!, and if there was a slight wrinkle in one of them then she could not sleep.......so we used to tease her that she was like princess and the pea!.......so when I saw this image, I just had to make this into a card for her.

Again for this one, I attacked my scrap pile, so I have no idea what the papers are!!!!!.......I have inked the edges with "distress ink - shabby shutters" and the pearls have been coloured with copics just to tie in with the colour scheme.

When this card was all still an idea still floating around my head I had planned a pink swirl and some flowers...however once I got to this stage of the card I actually quite liked it and decided to keep in a little more clean and simple!!!

This is my entry for:

Colour Create - Pink, Green & Cream
paper take weekly - 3 of a kind. (I have used, 3 papers, 3 sentiment strips & 3 pearls)

Once again thanks for looking

Flower Power

Hello All.....

Look what the postie brought me today!!!!!!!! The fabby new sassy Images from Sugar Nellie.....I am so so excited!!, Have you ever noticed that when you have ordered something new all the idea's in your head are for the new thing that you don't have yet!!!

To Make this card I have used a "Craftworkcards" Stencil. I have coloured the image with copics....I don't know why but I just felt she needed freckles, so I have added them with one of my "whispers" pens. The paper was all from that massive scrap bag of mine!!!!!!

I have gone I little over the top with the whole flower thing...not sure if there is a bit too much bling! I have added some stitching detail using the, Its sew easy tool from WRMK, I am not getting on that well with it at the moment, but I suppose like everything it needs practice. Also for some random reason...I have no idea why I have added little wire spirals.

In all honesty I am not completely sure about the overall result, but one thing for sure I think this little sassy sweetie, is set to be one of my new fav's!

This is my entry for:

Paper Cutz - anything goes

As always thanks for looking, hope you all have a good weekend, now I am just off to ink up this sweetie's sassy friends!!!!

Being Thankful in the Sugar Bowl

Hello All,

This is my entry for the sugar bowl....In all honesty when I saw the sketch for this fortnights sugarbowl challenge, I wanted to run screaming in the opposite direction!!! I don't know why I never seem to get on too well with sketches, when I make a card it normally evolves as I make it, and I can find sketches a little restrictive, However I just Love sugar nellie..they are my all time favourite company for stamp designs, I am also lucky enough to live close enough to pop into the house of sugar from time to time.....so for all those reasons I decided rather than pick and choose what challenges I like and don't like, I would actually challenge myself with something I don't feel comfortable with!............I am not sure about the results, but hey ho I gave it a go!

I have chosen a fab Leanne Ellis design, it is an old one, but one I reach for time and time again! (I know there are some new Leanne Ellis designs in the pipeline!!...cant wait!!!!!) I have coloured it with my copics.

As I mentioned I was nervous about the sketch, partly because it just had so many layers, so I have limited myself to one sheet of paper and some white card, so that I would not get myself too tied in knots about getting all the layers looking right together. the paper is "Magenta - Artful Flowers"...all the edges have been inked with "Distress ink - shabby shutters"

Finally I have made some flowers, using "Tim Holtz - tattered florals" and an "x-cut" flower punch, and I have added a few gems, which have also been coloured with copics to colour coordinate.

Well, I think I have waffled on far to much now...this is my entry for:

Sugar Bowl - Sketch
Craftalicious Challenges - Anything Goes
ABC - F is for flowers

Polly Put The Kettle On

Hello All,

This is another card that I made at my mum's house. In all honesty I don't think I really like it...I have made this card using a template, any time I try this I always think it looks naff...the idea is there but I don't seem to have the ability to execute it very well. Also I am not sure about the papers i used....don't get me wrong I do love these papers...I just don't know if they work as a teapot?!!!...however I only had a limited supply of stuff with me.

The papers are: "Basic Grey" and the image is "Krafting Kimmie"

It feels sew good.....

Hello all,

Well I finally feel like I have a card to show you, I know I have done a couple of posts in the week, but in all honesty I have really not been happy with the last few cards I have created, I am not sure if that Is because they are not that good or just because of the way I am feeling at the mo.

Life has just been mad recently and I have been finding it difficult to cope, I reached breaking point, and so I have had a couple of days at my mums house, just to hide away from the world for a couple of days, I managed to have a full days crafting and it felt great....it is weird to say that you NEED to make cards, but sometimes it really helps to make life bearable......Anyhoo...thats quite enough of me!!!

I have finally made a card I am happy with, I do love this Lorali image!!...I have coloured it with copic markers.....the tape measure detail I have hand made from some scrap white paper which I just coloured with copics and then added the markings in...the paper is "WRMK - Tiffanys"

Thanks for looking, it is much appreciated!
