Digi Chooseday

Hi Every one ....... so I have some exciting news:

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .... I'm so excited, I was asked to join the Digi Tuesday team, in all honesty I am still a little stunned!! Thrilled, honoured, and very very excited!!!

So this is my first week designing for the Digi Tuesday team. This challenge this week is " Anything Goes" however the DT was asked to use a design sheet. So this week I decided to step back in time, and played with one of my favourite collections, the Rosebud collection which you can find here

& I noticed it has been reduced to £6.99 .... honestly if like me you are in love with Mr Darcy and you love all period drama's this collection is an essential!!! it has sooooooo much in it!!!

So this is my card, using a couple of design sheets ... the paper is so amazing, believe it or not I have not even been near it with distress inks, that lovely distressed feel was already there!! ... I have added a little sparkle to the butterfly wings using a SN sparkle pen, and added a few paint splatters using some Kuretake Gansi Tambi paints ( unfortunately those details aren't showing up to well in the photo, but in real life it looks really lush )

Please come over and join us, I am looking forward to being inspired by your creativity. Also Don't forget that Nikky always offers an amazing discount in her POLKADOODLES store on a Tuesday, so please pop over to the blog and grab your discount code :-)

Scrap Skirt

Hi All,

Woo Hoo ... check me managing a fairly regular blogging schedule :-)

I have been warring against my scraps for years, I have done all sorts, decorated my daughters room, created journals e.c.t ... recently I used up a whole lot doing some crafting with my daughters nursery ... the bag I have now is fairly small, but I don't like to add to it!!

So at the end of a crafting session I like to grab my scraps and use up there and then ... that was the thought process behind this creation. I have used a Julie Nutting stamp ... but chopped her up so I just have the legs, paper pieced her shoes and created a 3d skirt with my scrap papers and created a little handbag too.

I then added some stamping and colouring, but in all honesty I fell out with it a bit, so knocked the colour back with a little gesso, did a little stenciling ... then I created a little flower to use up the little bits of scraps.

Hope you like

I Love Polkadoodles

Hi All,

How are you, its a blustery kind of day here today .... sitting writing this post with the windows rattling and the rain bouncing off the windows .. definitely a day for staying in and crafting. This post does come with the warning that is very picture heavy. I have decided to be brave and apply for the Digi Chooseday DT so I have decided to put a few of my Polkadoodle makes together to use as an application, so here goes:

Recent makes:

This one is using one of the new Darling Buds Images .. I masked her off using Pebio Drawing gum, and played with some pigment powders from Lindy's stamp gang, and some distress inks with a Sheena Douglas stencil. I added a little extra detail using some stamps from the stamp soup collection.
This is an image I coloured up a while ago, using copic markers I have then created a background using distress inks and stamps from the stamp soup collection.

This is a card I made using Winnie In Wonderland. I made the card on Serif and then printed out all the elements and layered together with a few extra bits and bobs.

Older Makes:

As you can see I love the Rosebud collection ... got to love a bit of Mr Darcy!!!!

Polkadoodles colouring:

Right ... now off to e-mail the lovely people over at polkadoodles.

Cinderella

So, Its about time I got this blog thing moving again!!!

Coloured this Saturated Canary image using Copic'c ... as I created a whole scene decided to keep the embellies fairly simple so that the image stands out. ... I am quite proud of the little pumpkin Embellishment ... Its paper clay & I used a little mould in one of my daughters play doh sets .... have found some real treasures in her sets ... gradually building up a set of pre made embellishments.

Hope you all like
