Mice Thoughts

Hi All,

Sharing another card today, this one is a papermania stamp (I think ... will check the next time I get into the loft) I coloured with my beloved inktense pencils. I am really enjoying using but still needing lots of practice. I went rummaging through my scrap paper box to find papers that matched my image ... and had a little die cutting session too, to have embellies that matched.

Summer Dress

Hi All,

This is a card I have made using an image from the most gorgeous "Fabulous Fashion" Cd by Katy Sue .... I printed off a digi stamp and have coloured with copic's and prisma's ....( I couldnt get the photo right for this at all ... the colour is still not great, but I have included a close up of the colouring as I could not get the detail to show on the original photo) .... I do sooooo love these images, that I decided to keep the card CAS so the image would stand out ... so have just matted and layered with some paper from K&Co ... and created a few little flowers.

Taking a Walk in Paris

Hi All,

One of the many purchases I made from C&C the other week was the fabulous HOTP Ooh la la kit .... I bought it mostly for the dies, however I have enjoyed playing with the kit as a whole.

Here I have used some of the elements of the kit ... I have stamped details on the background card using some stamps from Bo Bunny and Joy, and finally teamed it with this fabulous stamp from Rubber Romance, again one of my original stamps I purchased, really seem to be digging out all the old stash at the mo!! ... I have coloured the image with my copics. I have finally managed to go more over the edge of my cards now as I can make envelopes with the WRMK envelope punch ... Loving it!! I always got in a guddle before making my own envelopes ... Just hope they bring out a board for larger envelopes too .... anyway I waffle on!!!

Kraft Kindness

Hi All,

For once in ages I have been having lots of time to play, I have made a stack of cards but been neglecting blogging ..... So hopefully I will have another month of regular posts, what a novelty!!

I have finally purchased a pack of A4 Kraft card, so have been able to have a proper play with Kraft. I have embossed a piece of craft card using a Teresa Collins embossing folder, then I have stamped using a Kanban stamp and embossed using wow embossing powder - sparkling snow. .... The sentiment is also a stamp but unfortunately I have no idea of the brand, its just a stamp I have in my stash.

Sugar Bowl - May

Hi All,

Well its time for another challenge over in the Sugar Bowl. We have a fabulous challenge this month " April showers brings May Flowers "

I love this image .. Winter Wonderland, which you can find here I have chopped off the little robin to make her less winter and more spring!! I also stamped up the scene using some Tulip stamps. I have used my copics .... I have teamed it up with some papers from My Minds Eyes/Kate and Co. I have added some swirly dies and some paper flowers.

Floral Thank You

Hi All,

This is a card I made for a friend who treated me to some new crafty stash ... including the dies, I used to create this card. All the dies are Sizzix and I have used papers My minds eye/Kate&Co

The main stamp is one I bought forever ago when I started this milarky, I cant even see a brand sticker on it. I stamped it up with Memento Ink ... Then I traced round the script with a copic marker, so that it matched the background paper.

Spring Wedding

Hi All,

This is a card that I made for a friend who is getting married tomorrow. I actually made her wedding invites. When I asked her to give me a brief, she had mentioned that the colour of the bridesmaid dresses were sage green , she is having a herb bouquet with hints of Lavender. She asked me to think country garden. I also know that she is going to have bunting at the reception .. and her 7 year old sister will be one of her bridesmaids. I took all of those factors as an inspiration for this card.

I love this Tilda, and its been an age since I have inked it up and it seemed perfect for the occasion. I teamed it with some papers from "Tilda - Kitchen Garden" .... Then to be honest the whole card sort of evolved rather than sticking to the concept that was in my head.

I have so many flower die's but I ended up opting for stamping, and cutting out all the flowers!! I used a little rose stamp from "Kanban" onto both Green and White Vellum, I embossed it with "wow powder - sparking snow" Then I added butterflies, onto lavender veelum- Also A Kanban stamp.

The bunting is a "papermania" stamp, which I coloured with copics, but to be honest when I added all the flowers it just looked wrong, as the flowers were so soft and luxurious looking, and the brightly coloured bunting just seemed to clash and it just did not marry up. So I then decided to stamp the bunting up in the vellum too & to create an overlay to the coloured image. ... I was really pleased with the way that turned out, but then the coloured image looked so matt in comparision to the rest of the card. So I coloured over the dresses with twinkling H2o's I used "oyster" on the bride and " luminesant green" on the bridesmaid dress. ...... and somehow through a lot of playing and adapting as I went along I ended up with this, and for once I am really happy.
