Spring Wedding

Hi All,

This is a card that I made for a friend who is getting married tomorrow. I actually made her wedding invites. When I asked her to give me a brief, she had mentioned that the colour of the bridesmaid dresses were sage green , she is having a herb bouquet with hints of Lavender. She asked me to think country garden. I also know that she is going to have bunting at the reception .. and her 7 year old sister will be one of her bridesmaids. I took all of those factors as an inspiration for this card.

I love this Tilda, and its been an age since I have inked it up and it seemed perfect for the occasion. I teamed it with some papers from "Tilda - Kitchen Garden" .... Then to be honest the whole card sort of evolved rather than sticking to the concept that was in my head.

I have so many flower die's but I ended up opting for stamping, and cutting out all the flowers!! I used a little rose stamp from "Kanban" onto both Green and White Vellum, I embossed it with "wow powder - sparking snow" Then I added butterflies, onto lavender veelum- Also A Kanban stamp.

The bunting is a "papermania" stamp, which I coloured with copics, but to be honest when I added all the flowers it just looked wrong, as the flowers were so soft and luxurious looking, and the brightly coloured bunting just seemed to clash and it just did not marry up. So I then decided to stamp the bunting up in the vellum too & to create an overlay to the coloured image. ... I was really pleased with the way that turned out, but then the coloured image looked so matt in comparision to the rest of the card. So I coloured over the dresses with twinkling H2o's I used "oyster" on the bride and " luminesant green" on the bridesmaid dress. ...... and somehow through a lot of playing and adapting as I went along I ended up with this, and for once I am really happy.

Kitchen Thank You - Take 2

Hi All,

I mentioned in my last post that I had received a number of lovely gifts for my kitchen. This card is for my MIL who very kindly got me a kenwood, which I am loving especially as I bake a lot more now with the assistance of my 2 year old!!

Again I coloured in Kitchen Tilda, she is just perfect for the occasion, She has been coloured with a combo of Copics and Prisma's. I chopped into the card a little in an attempt to make it look like an apron, and I have teamed it up with some Bo Bunny papers.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Guest DT for Crafty Creations

Wow, I was so excited last week to get an e-mail from the lovely Bernie, asking if I would like to be a guest DT at crafty creations for the next 2 weeks ..... thanks girls for asking I feel so honoured!!

The theme this week is " Let it Shine" .... well I have gone a tad mad, although it doesn't show up that well on the photo .... everything has been sprayed with Mica powder, I have used holographic embossing powder on the edges of the main mat .... I have used sparkly thread .. loose glitter and a few gems, so I hope that qualifies ... LOL!!!!

I have used some fabby magnolia images which have been coloured with my copics .... as you can see the roses have made an appearance again!!!! and I have once again used my fabby "Tilda - kitchengarden" papers, I think this may be the first time ever that I will get through a whole paper stack and have nothing left !!!!!

This is my entry for:

Everybody Art Challenge - Anything Goes
Crafts and Me - We are in stitches
C.R.A.F.T - include stitching
Charisma Cardz - Pink and Green
Stamp something - use pretty papers
Just Magnolia - Paper piecing to dress up images ( I have used the gingham paper for her dress and bow)

Thank You Tammi

Hello All,

I was so lucky to win a some lovely candy from Tammi .... I was so excited to receive my lovely little parcel of beautifully stamped Tilda images. Due to the lack of crafting and blogging time I have at the mo it has taken me to a while to have a little play.....

I adore this little sweetie, and I have loved colouring her with my copics. I am slightly obsessed with these shaped cards from craftwork cards at the mo, as you may have noticed ..... and I am kind of sticking to the same layout so I must look at doing something new!! ..... the paper is from " echo park paper " .... I have gone a little overboard with the sparkle, I have mica powder spritzed over everything, stickles and glitter card.

Once again I need to apologise for the dodgy lighting of my card !!

This is my entry for:

Creative Inspirations
- punches & dies
Crafts and me - Glitter
ABC - R is for ribbon
Allsorts - anything but square

Cooking with Tilda

Hello All,

I finally have had a play with my new "Polka Doodles - Paper Boutique Volume 3"....I have had this since the December and have not played with it yet....as soon as I saw this little recipe template I had this Tilda in mind, I thought they would work great together.

I noticed there were a few challenges with a food theme, so I thought it was a great opportunity to get it out and have a play!!!

I printed out the blank Template and have used my own papers & Colouring to build all the layers up. The papers are "Daisy D"... and I have used my copics....this is quite dimensional, although that doesn't really show up on the photo. I have added stitching and ribbon to make it look a bit more realistic.

This is my entry for:

Fussy and Fancy - Sweet treats
Stamptacular Sunday - Loving from the oven

Hang in There

Hello All...

Back to cute for me today..... Over the holidays I dug right down to the bottom of my stamp boxes... ( I have so much stuff it it is shocking!!!) I rediscovered these gorgeous bird images...they are part of a "Linday's Stamp Gang" collection.....at one point these were the only cute stamps I owned....I think I have had them for 5 maybe 6 years.....although I had inked up other stamps from this set....these little birds have never been inked....shocking!!!! It was well before birds became a big trend in craft.......anyway when I saw them I thought they would go perfectly with this fab Magnolia image that my lovely bloggy friend Jane sent me.

The images have been coloured with copics. The paper is from my scrap pile, and I made the sentiment on the computer, the edges have all been inked with "distress ink - tumbled glass". I have done some stitching with some glittery thread, then finally added some ribbons and pearls.

This is my entry for:

Just Magnolia - anything goes
My time to craft - Up in the air
Papertake weekly - anything goes

Hello All,

I am still really taken with the whole castle idea, as you may have gathered!!! This time I have created an easel card! To create the Castle Wall I have used "Paper Artsy - crowns and castles 3&4" and of course the characters are "Magnolia"....They have all been coloured using copics. The paper is from my scrap pile.....the little flowers are some "prima" ones, and the large flower has been created using some scrap paper and the " Tim Holtz - tattered rose die" and the sentiment is again from the "PTI" set given to me by Stephanie.

This is my entry for:

Hello All,

Hows things?......I got a lovely parcel of stamped magnolia images from my bloggy friend Jane. I have been desperate to have a play with them, they are just soooooooooo cute!!!!!! I love this pair, they are just so adorable!!

I have coloured the image with my copics, the Paper is "Papermainia"....I have stamped behind the main image with an "Anitas" stamp in "brilliance ink - starlight silver"....the flower is using "Tim Holtz - tattered rose" die. I have just used really cheap nasty copier paper, coloured with copics to match Tildas cheeks!

The lettering is from "momenta"....and that's about it.

The background stamp is from "Magnolia" and the fab wedding couple is "Sugar Nellie" I have stamped it onto pearl card and coloured with copics.

Tilda's Wedding Album

Hello All,

Yes you've guessed it ....another wedding card!!!! I am sorry there are quite so many photos, I love making these accordion books, but they are incredibly difficult to photograph.

Again I have used these fab Magnolias, which I have coloured with copics. I have used some more of the "Dawn Bibby" vellum....and I have dug out some old "K&Co" Stickers from a kit I bought forever ago to use as the sentiments. The embossing has been done using "Spellbinders - Impressabilities - Flourish" and I have created the little flowers using x-cut punches, they have been colour tinted with copics. I also made a little charm, using shrink plastic...I am not that good at the whole shrinky thing so it is a little bobbly, but hey ho.....And as always, a few pearls and a little stickles.

This is my entry for:

Magnolia Down Under
- Embossing
Cardvarks - Embossing
Creative Craft World - Wedding
Cupcake - Strawberries and cream ( I have gone for the colour combo option)
Tuesday Throwdown - Dry Embossing

The Flowers were made using my "x-cut" punches I have tinted them slightly with my copics and finally I have blinged it all up with gems, pearls and stickles!!!

A Fairytale

Hello All,

How are you? well I think I have gone a tad crazy with this one. Anyway my idea behind this one was to create a fairyland where all the characters in fairytales live....a bit like in shrek! In My head I was going to use all the characters but in reality the card was too small, so I tried to go for ones that were instantly recognisable as famous fairytale characters.

I have used some of the images that I purchased during my mad splurge at "Sir Stampalot" and some of the images were sent to me by a lovely bloggy friend! I have coloured them all with my copics...I had to hand draw in the rest of the wall. I have added a chipboard swirl, some punched flowers and bling.

The little Fairy has been attached with acetate, so she actually floats in the centre of the card.

This is my entry for:

Magnolia down under - swirly swirls (I have stamped some swirls and used a swirl chipboard piece)
Charisma cardz - Bling
Crafty Creations - Its a stitch up

A White Wedding

Hello All,

I have been a very naughty girl....I have spent more money than I care to admit at the lovely sirstampalot! I have bought rather a lot of these gorgeous new wedding magnolias. Well I still have 30 wedding cards to make, so whats a girl to do??!!!

I LOVE this image so much, as soon as I saw it I knew I needed it!!! as I was making this card it was reminding me of a time when I was 6 and my little sister was 4 and we were bridesmaids for one of my mums friends. We carried a little basket of flowers just like this little sweetie. there are some really gorgeous photos of us all in the park, the photographer wanted us all to sit on the grass and spread our dresses out, but my little sister refused. She had been threatened that she was not to get her tights dirty, and she was just doing what she was told!!!....I feel a scrapbook page coming on, but first I must get these wedding cards done......I am just so slow!!

Anyway back to my card...I have stamped this out several times to create a decoupage, I stamped on plain card, but also on pearl papers to give the dresses a sheen. I have covered the card in some vellum that I had. The embossed detail has been created using "Spellbinders Impressabilities - flourish" I have done the flowers from the same pearl papers as the dresses I used "spellbinders shapeabilities - flower creations 3" and a small flower punch. then I have blinged it up with gems and pearls.

I wanted to keep it quite simple. Also I love the white on white look, but I have never been brave enough to try it for myself.

This is my entry for:

Cardvarks - wet or dry embossing
Copic creations - other paper ( I used copics to colour on pearlised paper to create the dresses.

As always thanks for looking

Getting in shape for a Magnolia wedding!

Hi All,

Thank you all for your encouraging comments...I am a little happier with this card, so I think my mojo is feeling a little better....either that or it has taken a little longer to get over the jet lag than I did!!! LOL!!

I just received a lovely parcel of stamped images from a lovely bloggy friend, and this image was among them, I was so delighted as I am still working on those wedding cards, I have done about 10 now, and I recon another 30 to go. The first wedding is in 10 weeks...eeek!!!!

I made a shaped card from this die last year so I thought I would rehash an old idea, the die is "Sizzix- heart w/flowers and vine" I have used some of my new papers that came on the 9 hour flight home with me!! The paper is "momenta - occasions and celebrations"....I was about to cut into a fresh 12"x12" in co-ordinating paper to make the flowers, I stopped myself in time and raided my scrap box instead (honestly I could probably craft for about 3 years solid just using my scraps!!) I have coloured the image and the gems using my "copics" and I have added lots of stickels...........it is a wedding so we need sparkle!!!

This is my entry for:

Magnolia Down Under - polka dots
By The Cute and Girly - something, old, new, borrowed, blue (I have gone for the wedding theme)
Stamptacular Sunday - I do, I do, I do
Tuesday Taggers - all that blooms
Cute Card Thursday - anything but square

Robin Hood and Maid Marion

Hi All,

I have been drooling over these new magnolia images for a while, and I am so lucky as a very lovely bloggy friend of mine sent me some stamped images to play with. This is a quick little card, as I was needing an anniversary card...I have coloured the fab image in using my copics, and all the paper is "basic grey - porcelain collection" I love that collection that much that I now have it in 12x12 and 6x6!!!............I attempted to make my own handmade flower, a different style to my normal ones, think I need a bit more practice, and I have coloured the pearls with my copics so they match..

Thanks so much for popping by and taking a look, I really do appreciate it!
