Mojo Monday

Every one was right, now I have got the taste for the challenge blog thing, I am now addicted. this is my entry for this weeks mojo Monday http://www.mojomonday.blogspot.com have to apologise in advance as I have had to alter design slightly as I had no scalloped squares, however I have added a little scalloped edging behind the main mat, although you can barely see it in the picture (sorry)

I have used some K&Co paper from the wedding range. the image is from "Habico wedding images 2" it has been inked up using brilliance inkpads, platnum silver & sky blue" to give a tonal effect. I have also inked round the edge of the papers using the platnum silver inkpad. Think I may have gone a little mad with the peel off lines!

Precious Moments

I have to say when it comes to crafting I do prefer stamping rather than using decoupage or toppers, however sometimes I find an image too irresistible and it falls into my shopping basket.
That was the case with this little couple from Precious moments.
I have used "K&Co" paper and a tag from the "K&Co baby girl tag pad". I have inked round the edges of the paper and tag using "Whisper sage" inkpad, and also stamped a few swirls in the corners, and added a few adhesive pearls.
Its just a quick little card, as I was desperate to get back into my craft room last night after being away for the weekend. Hopefully I will be able to get a chance to spend a little more time crafting tonight, and play with some new things that I got when I was away! see you soon......

a few more cards...

I just thought I would put a few more cards here. The layout of both these cards was inspired by the June 19th post over at www.stampingbella.com/blog/ Paulabella's sketch.
The hoot card again was made from the free sugar nellie stamp from the July issue of craft stamper, once again using those good old nonsense papers from "we are memory keepers" each owl was stamped 4 times and decoupaged.
The feeling blue card, using my little tiger chap again (wish I had more details for him, If I ever find out I will let you all know!) The paper was in my box of scraps and looking a bit tired so tried to cheer it up a little by inking around the edges, with a script stamp and a swirl stamp from "le blanche"
I am off for the weekend, so it will mean no crafting and no trips to blogland! hopefully a trip to a nice craft shop will be on the cards, which will mean new things to play with..........see you next week........

My first challange!

This is the first challenge I have ever entered, so I am a little nervous!
Its challenge 13 Lillian's sketch over at the sugar bowl.
I have used the Leanne Ellis stamp "true love" Its funny when I first bought this stamp I had in mind making a vintage style card with sepia tones, and although she has been inked many times I had never got round to doing the sepia thing! So when the challenge was brown and cream she was my natural choice.
I have inked her up with distress ink (Walnut) A new purchase! So I have never used it before, I have pulled the colour in using a water brush. I have inked round the edge of plain cream card. I must invest in some cut and dry, I had to blend with my fingers, so I am in a pretty mess now! Also stamped some swirls round the edges! Swirls tend to creep into most of my designs.
The 2 squares behind the main image are some scraps I had in my box, Its K&Co paper I have inked round the edges.
The flowers are Prima, and I have put Kanban Adhesive pearls in the centre.
Now all I have to do is to attempt to put it in the sugar bowl!

split coast stampers

I've just joined the split cost stampers. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/ EEk! I am really not very good at all this technical stuff, think I have managed to upload a few cards, but I have no idea, If they are available to view. Cant believe I am attempting to do all this, I am in way over my head! lots of fun! Thanks for all the support I have had from everyone that has popped by.

notes

Hi just thought i would show you a picture of a notepad that I made for myself last year. Once again, I have used a sugar nellie stamp. Love her, so much attitude! The book was covered in some pink paper that is was in my paper stash. I tried to make it a bit more interesting by stamping on some script in the corners. I added the swirls using a stamp from "Le Blanche" using brilliance inkpad "pearlescent crimson" and I made a little bookmark to match. I did make this in October, so the edges are now a little bit bashed so I apologise for the photo!

A Little More Nonsense.....

As you may have already noticed, at the moment I have a bit of a love affair with the nonsense range from "we are memory keepers" I first bought a few sheets from my local craft shop and I used them all up in just one night so I had to go back and get more! I am tempted to do the same again, but then it's not like I am short of paper!!!
Here are 2 more cards made with this lovely paper, again a sugar nellie stamp has an appearance! The tiger stamp is a fairly new purchase, I love him! I bought him from a lovely little craft shop in Perthshire called Stampaholics. Unfortunately I am not quite sure which company makes him.Enough of my waffling... hope you enjoy!

Craft Stamper Inspiration

This card was inspired by page 77 of the July craft stamper magazine project "Castle Niche" I didn't have an Embelliscrap niche box, so I attempted to get the same effect by using 2 cards the same size and cutting an aperture in one of them. the sides were made by folding a piece of card concertina stlye and attaching to both pieces of card.

Again those gorgeous nonsence papers from "we are memory keepers" were used, and stamps from the "mushroom lane" range over at http://www.cornishheritagefarms.com/

I hope you like the finished result!...

Free Sugar!

I bought the July issue of the "craft stamper" magazine primarily because I loved the free sugar nellie stamp!

This is quite a simple card, I put it with some lovely paper from "we are memory keepers" from there nonsense range. Which I Love. (there will probably be a lot more nonsense coming this way...) I love this little stamp, and have loads more ideas on how to use it, so he will probably me making a few more guest appearances......

A little bit of Sugar

Due to the fact that It was the lovely Karen over at Sugar nellie that inspired me to start my own blog it seemed only right that the first picture that I attempt to on my blog should feature a sugar nellie stamp.
I love this little Lady!! Its one of my favorite stamps designed by Leanne Ellis. I have used it with some tea time papers from "creative imaginations" It seemed the perfect combination!...

Hello and Welcome

Dear All,

Hello and welcome to my new blog.

I have to say despite spending many hours on other cardmaking and crafting blogs and gaining much inspiration, I have always been a little nervous of setting up a blog of my own.

I have received positive comments from friends and family regarding my cards and my crafting projects, and when I look at card making magazines and blogs I have often thought that I would love to be part of it all. Giving inspiration as well as receiving it! Having read a post on the Sugar Nellie bloghttp://sugarnellie.blogspot.com/ where the tip for the day was, to go for it as you never know where your crafting will take you, I was finally inspired to give it a go and so here I am!!

I will be sorting out a few photos for this blog, and finally putting some of my work on display!! hope you enjoy...
