Digi Chooseday - Week 14

Hello All .. Well its time for another Digi Chooseday. As Always the theme is Anything Goes. The team were asked to make a spring themed card, & this is my creation for the week.

Now I have to be honest, I have owned Nikki's CD's for as long as they have been going, .. I mostly have the digi images on the CD's .... as I love colouring. However I have not really been tapping into the full amount of gorgeousness that is available .. Now I am being asked to use the papers on the cd's e.c.t ... it is like I am discovering a whole load of gorgeous goodies I didn't know I had. I am really enjoying Hybrid crafting like I have never done before. There are so many steps to the creativity, it adds lots of fun and variety to my crafting .... if you are like me and have loads of Nikki's cds in your stash .. pull them out and have a play, its lots of fun.

I was watching craft telly and a show where there was lots of samples of hot air balloons and I was feeling inspired, so I went on a hunt for a polkadoodle hot air balloon digi and I actually squealed out loud when I found one on the Summer Time cd which you can find here ... I also printed out loads of flowers from this cd too & teamed it with some papers from the Magic Garden collection, which you can find here.

I added some Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours in over the digi stamp  .. and then paper pieced over it & added all the flowers e.c.t. This was an 8"x 8" card ... however I really didn't like the white space was looking, so added some stamping detail .. & then I hated the card even more!!! ... So using Leonie Pujol's theory of " If it offends thy eye - chop it off" .. I decided to chop it up keep the bits I liked and just stick it to another white card .. however I quite liked the quirky shape I was left with so in the ended, created little wire embellies to pop out from the fence, neatened up the back and made a smaller card to attach it too ... and ended up with this quirky shaped card. Which I hope you like :-)
