Fairytale!

Just a quick post, sorry photo a bit rubbish, cant really see the colour in their cheeks! lighting not brill! made the film strip using plain black card, and a ribbon stitch border punch. Used a stamp from Elzybells, and some random flower stamp I had to do the flowers around the edges, the papers from "color box, perfect posies " paper. You cant really see it but she has been dressed up with little gems and stickles. Hopefully might get a little crafting done over the weekend.....

  1. great effect like a film, love your layout and colours, sometimes a card looks great in real life and not as good on the pc or it can work to your favour. I usually scan my cards then edit in paint shop pro. either way your cards super. janex

  2. Love the colours you have used. I have the same problem with my photos. Read what jem said about what she does. But I don't have a scanner and wouldn't know what to do with paint shop pro. Just glad to be able to upload my pics at all. Even learning how to link logos and even managed to link Judy's blog candy. Thanks for lovely comments on my cards. Kat x

  3. Lovely card! Great colours. The key to good photos is first good light and then good editing! I have recently bought a daylight lamp..perfect for evening photos. then crop and edit in your photo software. usually there is an auto adjust button..try that. If not try adjusting the brightness. Practice...that is how I have learnt!! I take most of my photos during the day...so my card will have to wait until tomorrow to post!
    Have a fab weekend juls!

  4. A great blogging friend of mine Aimes, recommended a great free photo editing site www.picnik.com and I haven't looked back since - it's great and so easy.

Love your card by the way, especially the contrast between the black, pink and sage coloured card - great work :D

  13. Thank you Juls so much for visiting my blog and leaving such a lovely comment! Much appreciated! :)

I love the colours on this card and the film strip is a clever idea!! Fab card as are your other ones as well (I had a look around your blog).

As regards to free photo editing programmes, there's one called paint.net (http://www.getpaint.net/) which you can get for free. I haven't learnt to use it yet, but it is supposed to be easy ;) and you can find user's manual on the Internet as well.

    Have a lovely day! :)
