Domestic Godess

Hello All,

Sorry I have been AWOL again....I was putting away some of my new goodies from my recent hols...and I thought I would sort out one box of stuff...then I decided just to do the whole shelf...then in the end I tidied and reorganized my entire craft room ( well its more of a spare room come office come craft room......but I refer to it as my craft room)......half way through sorting I wish I had not started, I spent a whole afternoon and 3 very long evenings doing it, and finally I finished....It feels great to be so organized..that will last all of 5 min!

I discovered things I forgot I had, and I have once again put myself on a guilt trip at just having sooooooooo much stuff! It really is shocking, 2 years ago I put myself on a spending ban, where I did not buy any craft things for 6 months (except adhesive and white card)........amazingly I stuck to it...I don't particularly want to do that again, but I think I do need to exercise a little more restraint for a while!

I have made a couple more wedding cards....but I hate them so I have not been brave enough to show them here! I think I have sickened myself of wedding cards, so this evening I just thought I would have a little play and just do what I wast and hopefully get the old creative juices going again!

This is one of my new stamps....I Love it!!! it is from Kanban, which I have coloured with copics and used it with my new papers "Bo Bunny - Petal Pushers"

This is my entry for:

Totally Papercrafts - Going to the Movies (I have chosen "Julie and Julia" - I love that film, about Julie, setting up a blog to report her progress on working through Julia Child's cookbook.....seems very appropriate as my name is Julia, I have a best friend called Julie, and My love of blogging!!!! he he)
Paperplay - Anything Goes
Dutch Dare - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking
Hugs Juls

  1. Hi Juls,

Sounds as though your tidy up turned into a marathon but I'll bet you're glad it's done.

  5. Hiya Juls
Fancy popping round to mine and sorting out my stash too? lol!!!
It realy is quite scary the amountg of 'stuff' we all seem to collect isn't it. I would love to have the same control as you - only purchasing adhesive and white card for 6 months sounds good, but not likely to do that lol!!! Especially as my fav. craft time is heading our way.
Anyways - enough waffle - your card is stunning - as always - I love your style and your use of such fab fun colours.
I bet your wedding cards were gorgeous too - you are too tough on yourself!
    Have a wonderful day.
    Take care

  19. Oh Juls, you can't just say 'goodies from my recent hols' and then just leave us hanging there in suspenders! LOL!! Tell all!! Or SHOW! I just love these new Kanban stamp sets, I've been eyeing them up too. Your card is just fabulously beautiful! LOVE the PINK! And the scallopy shape! I know what you mean about the spending ban. I say that to myself and then I get a glimpse of the new releases at CHA and I just know that all good intentions have gone west! keeleyxx

Good for you having gone 6mths with the spending ban, we are all so guilty! Ive just joined up with a new challenge to make us used our older stock, why not have a peep too? Oldie but a Goodie, due to start very soon I believe.

  28. Love this card Juls. Sometimes it's great just to do what you want isn't it instead of what you have to!!

Not sure I could cope with a spending ban but I really need to sort out my stash and give a load to a charity shop. You know what I mean - I think we all have stuff we don't know why we bought it.

I've had a dreadful internet connection for about 2 weeks. Some nights it goes on and off all the time. 1 night I couldn't get on till late and last night not at all. Bit of a panic when you're on 3 DTs and need to comment and even worse make cards lol!

  29. I had to smile to myself reading this Jules, I have done the same myself in the past, just start out cleaning a little and end up making more mess and having to do the lot...

Love the card, its so bright and zingy, the image is a perfect match for the papers

I am on a major spending ban...it's really hard though when you see new things in blogland, I sometimes feel like a child that has to have the latest toy every time I see something...lol
It's a good thing I can use my friends stash in her shop or I would be in trouble...lol
