Hello All,
Well in advance I must apologise for a photo heavy post. I love it when you guys show a photo of your crafty space....it helps me to place you and where you create. I have always wanted to join in on WOYWW but I have never been around on Wednesdays :-( !!!!!!!
Today I am so I am excited about being able to join in...so firstly I will show you whats on my desk!
I was playing around with inks last night and creating backgrounds...not something I do too often ...I am needing more practice...in all honesty I am not quite sure where I am going with this one...guess I will find out.
I thought While I was here..I would give you a quick tour of my craft room...aka spare room and office! My husband created a more workable space and we have used kitchen units in the bedroom...which actually does not look too weird! He wanted to be able to close doors on all my craft stuff so that when we have visitors it is a more relaxing space...not jumbled with bits and tubs on display!.....cheek! he also knocked out a built in cupboard and created a small office for my work, which is great as it is out of sight when people come to stay......anyway this is my larder unit full of stuff:
All the boxes on the bottom shelf are full of stamps as are the Black and white folders....The black and white bag at the bottom I love..its actually empty, I bought it in TK Max, its a paper file....and when I go to a friends house to craft I can fit some DP's and Stamped images in it....and I can come round without looking like I am moving home!!
Then I have 3 pan drawers crammed full:
this one full of paper
the 2nd one with tools:
If you are wondering at the little tin foil pie cases, I saw a show on C&C where Sheena Douglas created UTEE using a little pie dish and a heat gun instead of a melting pot.....so I thought I would give that a go and save myself some money...
The 3rd draw is odds and ends:
I am not quite finished......I have another little cupboard:
Look at all that paper....I am so embarrassed!!! The blue bag is full of notebooks in various sizes ready to alter.
That's the main part but then I also have this:
Full of essentials
And these:
One is full of inks the other of stickers.
Yes after having my sort out, I am actually quite depressed as I have soooooooo much stuff!!! I am trying to be good, I desperately need to put a hole in this stash!!!!
Thanks for looking, I hope I haven't bored you silly!
Hugs Juls
P.S....dont forget to check out Julia's blog...and see all those lovely workspaces!
how tidy are you lol - the check of hubbie eh ???
ReplyDeleteI too have a little bag full of notebooks that i mean to alter, but they just sit there waving at me lol
hugs
judie xx
Wow Juls, you are mega organised! I laughed at hubby wanting to be able to 'hide it all'!! You're gonna need a door plaque I reckon that says 'Juls' room'! lol!
ReplyDeleteIm with you in that its great being able to picture people at their crafting spaces!
Keryn x
You are a very tidy crafter - at least you know where everything is!
ReplyDeleteHi Juls,
ReplyDeleteA place for everything and everything in it's place. A fantastic workspace that obviously produces some great creations.
Hugs,
Fiona x
Looks lovely and organised :) I think the thing with using stash is to just get down to it and use it! I went though the last few months just using leftovers and then treated myself to something new at the end of it. I found that you tend to use tools more too because you're always looking for new ways to use odd bots of paper etc.

ReplyDeletethat is a great and tidy space you have there, though I would be of the opinion that our craft stuff adds character to a room and doesnt need to be locked away LOL :)

what a lovely tidy & organised space you have - thanks for letting me come and look - Jacqueline xx
ReplyDeleteYou're soo organised! Love it. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's easy Juls - don't be embarrased, be proud of how much you've got and then start using it..it's incredibly satisfying to use older stuff up! Like your space very much - the closed door option is nice for a guest room - stops them getting up in the night and using your stuff too!!
ReplyDeleteWow that all looks super organised! I wouldn't dare show a piccie of my craft space - it's just a cupboard in our bedroom crammed full of stuff that I have to bring out everytime I craft!!
ReplyDeleteVery organised I always think I have loads of crafting stuff until I start to nosey and I haven't got too much at all. But when can you ever have TOO MUCH CRAFTING STUFF ha ha
ReplyDeleteLove Dawn xx

PS- I adore your Under the Umbrella card!
I love that background, it looks very beautiful, great color.
ReplyDeleteLooks very neat and organized! Hide it all, let's go take a look at all the hubby's workshops first. LOL
ReplyDeleteHi Juls. Wow it's been a long time since I have signed in and I have missed so much of your wonderful work. You have been busy.
ReplyDeleteI have just enjoyed 10 minutes catching up with your blog and seeing what you have been creating, lots of lovely eye candy for me to look at. I simply adore what your are doing outside your comfort zone - under my umbrella is gorgeous, I love it. Afternoon tea is adorable, great image and colouring, and the Teapot charm sets it off. The pink chandelier is stunning and I would be very proud if I had made it too - well done, another that is truly outstanding.
Thanks for your lovely comments on my scheduled posts while I have been away. I've had a great holiday with my children and grandchildren but I am raring to get the creative juices flowing again.
Hope you are well - I will be back soon.
Luv B xxxxx
PS Your craft room is just far too tidy and organised - all my materials are away, but no where as neat as yours. I think I will have to go and take a look at WOYWW.
wow I just love visiting new desks.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me and leaving such a lovely comment.
Question is the name "The glitter Chick" from the large box of stickles and if so how many colours do you have?
thanks for the belated snoop
Kate xx
Lovely to see your craft space Jules, looks like it all works perfectly for you and I'd love to be able to hide all my stuff away too as it's all on show. Amazing how it mounts up isn't it LOL!! Have a good weekend, oh and I love the background you made it's so pretty! Chris x

Welcome to WOYWW. It's addictive and you're going to love it here. Like a lot of people have mentioned, you have a lot of wonderful things you will be able to craft with. Sorry I'm late visiting this week, but I contracted a computer virus on Wednesday. It's still not fixed, but I had to make sure I wasn't infecting anyone. Happy belated WOYWW.
