First Ever Side Step Card
Hello All,
This is my first ever attempt at a side stepper card....I have seen them loads of times in blogland, I had just never got round to trying....
The card stock is from "Kanban" The fab castle image is "Paper Artsy - crowns and castles 4" and the gorgeous characters are "Krafting Kimmie"..Just Love them! everything has been coloured using "copics"
The sentiment reads:
"every now and then right in the middle of the ordinary life, love gives us a fairytale"
The bulk of the sentiment I have created on the computer using "my craft studio" and then "fairytale" has been done using "cuttle bug - swirls and curls"
Finally the flowers have been made using 2 x cut punches and some peel off dots and of course lots of stickles! (you cant have a fairytale without sparkle though, can you!!)
this is my entry for:
Sir Stampalot - Fantasy
By the cute and girly - Fairytale
Krafting Kimmie - Lots of flowers
Charisma Cardz - quote me
Die Cut dreams - make your own flowers
Papertake weekly - do something different ( I have never made a side step card before)
Thanks for looking

clean and simple
Hi, This is not my usual style, as much as I love cute cards with lots of detail, I like to keep lots of cards with different styles e.c.t in stock so I can cater for the tastes of people I send them to, and also for the friends and family that buy cards off me.
Anyway the hearts and striped paper are from the "polka doodles - Love and cherish cd".....the new cd fell into my basket on Friday when I was watching c&c (such a dangerous pass time!!) I cant wait for it to arrive. I have used a punch for the flower added some stickles and lots of gems.
This is my entry for:
Polka Doodles - monochrome
Card Patterns - sketch

Hello All..
I apologise in advance for the fact I Have loads of photos...I was not quite sure the best way of photographing this project.

Anyway...I have coloured using my copics, the papers and flower embellishment are "papermania - hint of pink" I have added a touch of sparkle using my "stickles - crystal"
This is my entry for:
Copic Creations - Black Hair
Stamp Something - Layered something (lots of layers to reach the opening of the card)

swinging into the sugar bowl
Hi All,
This is my entry for the Sugar Bowl challenge...
I have used this gorgeous SN image which was part of some lovely candy that I won from the amazingly talented Bernie. The background scene is an image from the "my craft studio - silhouette" cd, I have printed it out twice so I could layer up the tree. The swing stamp is "c.c designs" I have added a little doodling to create more of a vine effect on the swing. and the papers are "DCWV - all about girls" , and finally I have added some "prima flowers" .

Vintage Maggie
Hi,
Just a quick post from me tonight...The Sugar Nellie blog is asking us to get out our old nellies and have a play, I love dressed up Maggie and was one of my first SN purchases. (I dont want to admit quite how many nellies I have now....its an obsession!!!) so decided to ink her up again.
I thought I would go for a vintage look, I have no idea what the papers are as they are all from my scrap box, the edges have been inked in "distress ink - antique linen" and The swirls are a "paper artsy" stamp and have been inked up with "Brilliance - twiliight"
The pearls I have coloured with my copics to give them a pinky shade and of course a good dollop of stickles!!!
Thanks for looking!!

Porcelain Couple
Hello All,
It feels like ages since I have posted any of my cards here...with a combo of still not feeling well and other things I have not got much crafting done...so I have had a wee look through some of the cards I made a few weeks ago to see if I had anything I could share with you.
This is one I made using the "Basic Grey - Porcelain collection" The stamp is from "Anita" and I have paper pieced her dress, unfortunately I didn't get it quite right and the stamped image went over the edge of the paper, but I have disguised that with the flowers going up the edge, I have made those with my flower punch.
This is my entry for:
My time to craft - pretty pearls
Abc - S is for sparkle (I have added glitter to her dress and to the flowers)
Allsorts - In stitches
Sweet Stamping challenge - In stitches
Die Cut Dreams - Tear it up
thanks for looking

Something Different
Hello All,
Hope you are enjoying your weekend...this card is me attempting a new style, when it comes to crafting I do love everything, I love the cutsie look, the more arty look, grunge and clean and simple as well as the elegant look.
Crafty Card Makers have set the challenge of challenging yourself, and maybe using some products that you bought ages ago to try something new and then never get round to it...... I often watch Sheena Douglass on Create and Craft, making background papers with inks and cosmic shimmers and stamping, I always love it and want to do it but somehow never quite get round to it. When my local crafts shop started selling distress ink I was so excited and specifically requested from them worn lipstick and shabby shutters as I had seen an amazing paper Sheena had made using those colours. I have since bought quite a few of the inks, and yet the most exciting thing I have done with them is use some cut and dry foam and colour tint the edges. My excuse then was I didn't have the heat proof mat, which I would need to make the background....I have had that now for quite a few months and still done nothing...so I pulled everything out and had a proper play!!
I sploged the inks on a heatproof mat to create the main background. I stamped out...
In Black Memento Ink:
Hero Arts: manuscript background
Hero Arts: card art, Love birds
Sugar nellie, leanne Ellis (top 2 layers)
Embossed in Stampendous peal lustre - Ruby
Crafty individuals: (the flourish design)
Darcies: Flourish house (little birds)
Sugar nellie, Leanne Ellis (1 layer)
Embossed in moonglow - weeping willow
Inkadinkado - chandeliers
I stamped the SugarNellie stamp on the background paper that I had created, and on white card, which I then coloured with copics, I also stamped it on another piece of paper that I had created with more green tones to create a contrast, and I over stamped the with the script and lace stamp, and then paper pieced her dress.
The Ribbon is from DCWV, I made a handmade flower from the leftover backing paper and stitched with some anchor thread....I also had some wire which I bought maybe 8 years ago and have not yet opened the packet, I spiraled them round a pen and added the little stamped birds as a little feature.......and finally some glitter and pearls!!
Not my usual look, but I quite like it!
this is my entry for:
Crafty Card Makers - challenging challenge (making own background and using wire)
Crafty creations - paper piecing
paperplay challenges - Shiny happy people (I have glittered her hair)
Totally paper craft - Distressing (distress inks and I have roughed up edges with craft knife)
Stamp Something - stitch something (hand stitched centre of flower & faux stitching)
thanks for looking and for listening to all my waffle

Anne Of Green Gables
Hello All, how are you?
I need to apologise in advance..this is rather a long post and I do have loads of photo's..so I will try my best to cut the waffle!!...With not being well I have pulled out my Anne of Green Gables books...which I have read over and over again, and watched the Megan Fellows and Johnathan Cromby version over and over again...I know it word for word!!.....anyway reading the books again have inspired me to make this project:
This page is inspired from when Matthew first meet Anne and takes her home to Green Gables.....the quote says:
"I can imagine I have a beautiful rose - leaf complexion and lovely starry violet eyes, but I cannot imagine my red hair away"
Its the first time I have ever put freckles onto a GG so I was not sure if it would work..but we cant have our Anne without freckles!!!
This page is inspired from the most amazing scene where Anne Looses her temper and breaks a slate over the lovely Gilbert's head, so so begins her passionate hatred of Gilbert Blythe.
the quote reads:
"Carrots! Carrots!" "You mean hateful boy!......how dare you!" THWAK!
I have made her checks really red in this one as she was furious!!!!
This page is based on the scene where Anne tries to change her hair to a "beautiful raven black" by dying it however it turns green instead
The Quote reads:
"yes its green....I thought nothing could be as bad as red hair, but now I know its ten times worse to have green hair, Oh Marilla, you little know how utterly wretched I am."
and finally..this is just a representation of the friendship between Anne Shirley and Diana Barry.
Thanks for looking through such a long post...the products that I have used are:
papers - K&Co Mira Collection
Stamps - Sugar Nellie Gorjuss Girls & HOTP stitching stamp
Sentiments - Peeloffs/ or made on the computer and I have coloured the edges using "Adirondack paint dauber - citrus"
Flowers - x cut punch.
This is my entry for:
Stamping for the weekend - Ribbons and bows
Stamtacular Sunday Challenge - Sugar and Spice and everything nice ( Anne Shirley loved and aspired to everything girly... just never quite attained it.....and what girl doesn't love the romance of the 'Anne and Gilbert' story!!)
Cupcake - make your own flowers

Commisioned Card
Hello All,
This is a card I was asked by a friend to make, My Brief was..cutsie, hearts, flowers, butterflies, glitter..more is more is more is more!!!
I am not sure on the results, as I don't know that it is really me. The gorgeous image is "lilli of the vally" which I have coloured using my copics then I have painted over her dress using "twinkling H2o's - Oyster and Iridescent Blue"
I have just done loads of matting and layering using mirri card. blue pearl embossed card, and pearl paper..the gorgeous white flowers I got in a candy win from the lovely Vanessa..and all the blue flowers and leaves are from " Dawn Bibby"
I have also added some ribbon, butterfly peel offs, gems and of course stickels...
As I mentioned I am a little nervous and unsure of this one, I normally like to give people a choice if they buy cards off me, then they can choose their own style..I always think if they went into a shop they would have a few to choose from...but with a specific one like this you can only make one and hope for the best!...will be interested to see what you all think.
this is my entry for:
Lilli of the Vally : Blue and Silver
Allsorts: No DP's

What to choose in the Sugar Bowl....
Hi All,
Hope you are all enjoying the holiday weekend. I am so excited about the new realise of Leanne Ellis design stamps, over at the house of sugar!!!....I know you shouldn't have favorites but definitely love these designs...so even before I saw any of these designs I would want them...Then last night I saw Dena's post.....now I just NEED that stamp!!!!....I have been a bit naughty and I have been buying yet more craft!!!! so will have to try and sit on my hands for a while.
So I thought I better get my skates on and enter the sugar bowl challenge as the prize is 6 new Leanne Ellis designs..I know there is not much chance of winning, but its fun to play along anyway....and I can wish really really hard!!!!!
The hardest part of this challenge was choosing which sketch to use in the end I chose challenge 18.... Shockingly I have had this little sweetie for a while but have not yet inked her up...I was a little concerned it was the wrong time of year..but hey we had snow this week, so why not!!! I have used a combination of papers from "Basic Grey- Blush collection" and " Bo Bunny - Alica collection" The flowers are "Dawn Bibby" from a kit that I bought forever and ever ago and have used it so much then I inherited some more from my sister who doesn't really have time for crafting now...so I still have loads...I really would love to get to the bottom of some of my boxes!!
Anyway once again I do appreciate the time you take to pop over and have a look at my creations, hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Anyway onto my card, I have coloured her in using copics and have used paper from the "basic grey - sultry collection"...The paper button and corner are also part of the basic grey pack..the flowers are from "Prima"...and of course gems and stickles.

Cinderella
Hi All,
Something a little different from me today... a cross stitch! (sorry about the angle of the 2nd photo..this is hanging on the wall of my living room, and I was finding it very difficult to photograph without getting some very interesting reflections!!!!
I have been looking for a good excuse to put this on my blog...and it came in the form of the challenge over at By The Cute and Girly.... (didn't the girls to an amazing job!!!....missing you all!! ) the theme this month is "Fairy Tales"...so I thought this would work perfectly for that!!!.......I didn't whip this up this morning, I have to admit it was a labour of love that took about 4 years...so I hope it is ok to enter it!!
Cross stitch was my first love before I discovered papercrafting, I do still always have one on the go..don't produce as many!!....This is one of My favourite ones...
My absolute favourite one, was one that I did for my grandparents 50th...it was a photo of their wedding which was black and white!!...so many shades of grey! It drove me insane!!..but it was worth it to see their excitement...but I will never do a black and white one again!!!!
Anyway enough of my waffle!!! Thanks for looking..
