Graphic 45

Hello All,

Yes it seems like I have disappeared of the face of the earth! We are beginning to get some sleep through the night now, but she still does no more than catnap during the day, where I frantically run round trying to get some jobs in the house done!! so very little time for crafting, still watching and spending though!!

The other night my Hubby took main babysitting duties, and I just did the feeding and he allowed me to escape into the loft for a little while and have a play, I had just been watching the Graphic 45 hours on c&c and managed to sit on my hands!!! I knew I had a couple of sheets tucked away somewhere in my stash, so feeling all inspired I dug them out and had a little play! I have teamed it up with some Kanban Velacetate, and then I coloured the ladies lips red with my prisma pencils and that was it.

Hopefully as my little sweetie settles I will get more time to play and will be able to make an appearance here more often!!

hugs to you all
Juls

  4. I'm impressed that you have made anything at all! I don't think I did anything for MONTHS when mine were born! Both of mine slept a lot more during the day once they started walking and tiring themselves out a bit so who knows? Loving all the layers on your creation here x

  5. That really takes me back Julia, sleepless night and catnaps do catch up on you.

But at least you use your little bit of 'me' time to create a beautiful card.

Take care, things can only improve as she gets older.

  8. Good to see you back again Juls. Beautiful card, you certainly haven't lost your touch.

Hopefully you'll get more time to yourself as Kezia gets older and able to amuse herself. I was incredibly lucky that all three of my children were good sleepers. If sleeping was a medal sport he would have got a gold medal. The girls didn't sleep as much as him but were still very good. But I can certainly sympathise as I had a neighbour who's son was a poor sleeper. What he really liked was being able to see what was going on, none of this lying down stuff. When he was sitting up watching everything he was quite content.

But as everyone says "they're not babies long" so make the most of her baby time.

Hope things are getting a bit easier hun - I remember those days well! Dex was a terrible sleeper (day & night) until he got to 6 months, when he went from waking 3 or 4 times a night to suddenly sleeping through... it was wonderful! Big hugs, Lisa x

  21. HI Juls, lovely to see you back in blogland. I must have missed this post but you certainly haven't lost your knack of making stunning cards. Its so hectic when you have to fit everything in during catnaps isn't it? Glad to hear you're getting in to a routine and hopefully you'll be able to have a bit more time for yourself. Those first few months pass by in such a blur of naps and feeds there doesn't seem to be time for you. I still remember the sleepless nights and my son is 22 lol.
