A Little Strange.....
Ok, I am really not sure on this creation at all, I made it for Paper Cutz as the challenge there is Farm Yard animals..I have used the gorgeous "Marij Rahder" stamps...gorgeous characters perfect for this challenge, and I had the idea of putting the horse behind the stable door!.......Its just now I realise that there is a random stable door in the middle of a field with 1/2 a horse!.....hey I guess that's what you call artistic licence!!
I have coloured using my copics! the paper is.................yes you've guessed from my neverending pile of scraps!! I actually didn't quite have enough of the green, hence lots of torn little bits to create a hilly effect!!.......so yes I do think the result are just a little strange but hopefully it will make someone smile!!

This is so cute Juls, it certainly made me smile. Didn't actually think of it as being just a stable door in the middle of a field till I read it lol! Love it.

Your description is hilarious Juls, and on closer "inspection" you have lots of lovely little shamrocks on it also...so it could just be an Irish horse...we're renowned for craziness like this!! lol
ReplyDeleteI love it regardless....the horse's expression is adorable...suits his surroundings beautifully! bx
LULLZ!
ReplyDeleteyou are fabulous, girl.
i'm with craftyb above - he looks like he may be a very lonely half-horse, wishing for someone's company, being all by his lonesome out there, with his random stable.
total outcast from society. ;)
Juls ..i love it!!...and your description really made me laugh...where did you get the stamp from??..only my sister has a horse so im always on the look out for new birthday card ideas and this would just be amazing....
ReplyDeleteHi Juls,
ReplyDeleteYou are a case. You can create anything from scraps. This is amazing and your artistic licence is spot on. I ove it.

I love it! There was a project in Colulmbia, SC several years ago where there were random doors placed around the city. They were set up with frames, and they really did open. Organizations, companies, whoever could "sponspor" a door and then paint and decorate it anyway they liked. There were scattered art doors all over the place and it was a really fun idea. Your stand alone stable door reminded me of that. So see, it's not so strange afterall. Great card!
ReplyDeleteI think it's cute!! Your post made me giggle though, lol! I would certainly call it 'artistic license'!
ReplyDeleteGreat way of using up your scraps. Love it

He is very cute and I love the colouring. You have done a fabulous job with the white marker to hilight him - I'm always reluctant to do so in case I mess us all that colouring I've just done!
ReplyDeleteBless...you did make me smile Jul's...I have this set..not inked these fab ones yet though... that's the trouble...we see something we like and buy it...then another and another..
ReplyDeleteI need to slow down on my buying...I can't keep up with it all.. I don't craft at a fast enough pace...but need to use more of my stash more often...
I should stop shopping....lol.
Love this card... you did a great job with it...and I am sure you will find the perfect recipient...I know I could...
