Splash of Summer

Hi There,

Loving the new Splash of Summer paper pad from Polkadoodles, which you can find here For this card I have only used the paper pad and done lots of fussy cutting and layered it up to create a fun Z fold card. I also used a sentiment from the Bee Nice Sentiment stamp set just to finish it off.

Splash Of Summer Tag

Hi All, Sharing another make show casing the gorgeous new Posy Doodle collection from Polkadoodles, which you can find here

For this tag, I started off creating a background using Distress Oxide inks, I then used some of the little stamps from the Delicate Doodles stamp set ... I then stamped the flowers and dragon fly Separately and also coloured using distress inks, I also added some highlights using SN Sparkle pens. Finally I added a sentiment from the Bee Nice Sentiment stamp set, I stamped it onto black card and embossed with white.

Bee's at Work

Hi All,

Sharing another make from the gorgeous new posy doodle range which you can find here For this card, in my head I had a concept of being able to peer into a beehive and watch the bees at work.

I used the gorgeous Honey Daisy stamp set to create the honey comb. I then sttok some card stock and stamped it  using flowers from the Tall and Spiky stamp set, I coloured it using distress inks and sparkle pens, I then tore a hole in the card, so you could peer through it and see the honey comb. I cut some extra flowers out to add some dimension to the card. Finally I used the Bee Nice Sentiment stamp set, and stamped out some bees using shrink plastic ... they are sooo cute!! Then I added some Anita's glaze over the bee's so they had a nice gloss finish to them, and then I added some black splashes as a finishing touch.

Splash Of Summer Canvas

Hi There,

I am loving the new Posy Doodle range from Polkadoodles, which you can find here I decided to make a little Canvas.

Firstly I used one of the backing papers in the kit and ripped it up to add some nice textured edges, I then covered with clear gesso so I could use different mediums on it. I used texture paste and a stencil to add a little texture, I then used Lindy's Stamp Gang magicals and some gelatos to highlight the texture.

Finally I stamped out some flowers from the Doodle Dragon Fly and Delicate Doodles stamp set, I coloured them with Ecoline pens and SN Sparkle pens, and shaped the flowers to create dimension. & then I used the bees and a sentiment from the Bee Nice stamp set.

Honey Daisy Bee Hive

Hi All,

Delighted to be able to share with you one of my makes for the latest Polkadoodles, Posy Doodles release .. You can find this gorgeous kit here .

I borrowed a template from the Lemonade Fizz collection I created my own background paper using distress inks and the honey daisy stamp set ... I then stamped out a load of flowers from the stamp set and coloured with Ecoline Pens and SN Sparkle pens, and decorated the little bee hive up.

We Love to Create - Challenge 8

 

Hi there, we have another Challenge over at We Love to Create ... its a fabulous opportunity to get all inky and play with mixed media.

 

I have made a tag, using lots of gorgeous Polkadoodles products, I started by adding some torn pieces of paper from the Posy Doodles paper pack I then layered some distress oxides over it & some of my mop up rice paper. I covered a little frame with black Gesso, and created a paper ribbon from some more of the paper pack. I have stamped onto fabric using Dotty about Flowers I then added some stitching detail. I then painted the back of the fabric using a mixture of 50% PVA & 50% water, once it was dry I cut round the flowers & finally I added a sentiment using Treasured Blooms stamp set.

Digi Choosday - Week 18

Hi All,

So its Digi Choosday again, which means fabulous discounts, so please do pop over to our blog to grab todays code and maybe treat yourself to some crafty goodness. We also have a GDT call on at the moment, Polkadoodles is the most amazing team to be on, so if you fancy joining us for a while please be sure to apply :-)

The theme as always is anything goes, however the DT were asked to follow the theme of embossing, dry or heat embossing. I have used an embossing folder to create a texture background ( unfortunately it doesn't show up too well in the picture, but it is there lol ) and I have used some of the fabulous pre coloured images from the Horace and Boo collection.
