A Red Top Hat...
Hi all... I had a fab weekend!! Loved going to the craft shop in Elgin, the girls there are just so friendly!! This is one of the nellies I purchased! I love Leanne Ellis designs, so I am surprised it has taken me quite so long to buy them for myself!!
Whilst at the shop I got to look at some of Tiets and Judy's cards they are even more amazing in real life! Incredibly talented ladies!! also got a few hints hand tips.
I have gone for the monochrome look as I finally got some Memento ink, so I have been able to have a proper play with my copic's. I don't have many only 3 shades of grey and 2 skin tone so I am fairly limited..however its a start! I have gone over the top hat with Anita's glaze and have sprinkled some red glitter in it.
I plan on entering this card for a couple of challenges:
http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/ Recipe, 1 ribbon, 2 squares, something that sparkles. (the red hat sparkles - however you cant see it very well, every time I tried to take a close up photo the camera said that my battery was low.. very strange..but if you click on the photo you should be able to see it!)
http://stamptacularsundaychallenge.blogspot.com/ Use Scallops
http://creativeinspirationschallenge.blogspot.com/ use stitching (real or faux... I've used faux stitching)

Hi Juls another fabby card. I agree Papercrafts at Elgin is fantastic. You almost need a bank loan to get back out again. I can't believe that you were at my local shop too on Saturday. So was I! My friend met me at my work and we went straight up there. We got there just before 1pm and left about 2pm. Coffee and cake was yummy wasn't it. Jeannie and Jane who work in the shop are very knowledgeable. Jane does wonderful Pergammanno and Jeannie is expert at cards and scrapbooking. I think most of the samples were hers - I know her work. Elaine the shop owner used to go to her classes at a previous shop in Peterhead. Glad you liked the shop. Lots more stock to come including gorgeous MME Christmas papers which I need to get my name on.

Absolutely gorgeous! Dont worry about the copics, I only have 21 to my name but you'd never guess as they can be blended with greys and touch the nibs together for other shades and colours so even if you only have a handful they can go a long way :)
