Hi All,
When Karen announced that she will be closing the doors on the Sugar Bowl Challenge and this would be the final one, I knew I just had to enter!! My first ever challenge entry in the magical world of blogland was in the Sugar Bowl .... and I was honoured to be on the Sugar Bowl DT for quite some time .... so I couldn't not be part of the last ever challenge.
This was a card that I made for my daughter to give her teachers on the last day of school ... unfortunately the photo is not the best quality, I quickly snapped it on my phone as we were running on the way to school :-)
I used a stamp from the Simply Sassy range and she has been coloured up with copics. I created a shaped card free hand ... and added bits and bobs to make it pretty, I made 3 of these as the Nursary she goes to has 3 lead teachers in the 1 class.
The Sugar Bowl
Also for anyone that's just visiting, I hope you don't mind me mentioning an earlier blog post of mine, I am doing a charity run for a cause that is very close to my heart. If you are interested in learning more you can read about it here
As always thanks for looking

Fairy Dust in the Sugar Bowl
Hi All,
Its time for another new Sugar Bowl challenge, I have gone for something a little different. This is a jar of fairy dust, its so simple to do and looks so pretty. Its just a jar of water and you add in a little glitter and cut open some glow sticks and put the contents into the jar ( in the UK you can buy the glow sticks at the pound shop. )
I decorated the top of the jar with some flowers and gems, and a little shrink using the scrapberry image " little sister " that you can find here
Hope you will join us in the sugar bowl this month, I always enjoy seeing your fabulous creations.

I then teamed it up with one of the teacup cards from " The house of Zandra, fabulous tea & cakes cd " I added the clock, little mushrooms and tiny little bottle to really try and add to that wonderland theme. I hope you like.

Sugar Bowl - June
Hello All,
Well its time for another challenge over at the Sugar Bowl ... and it will be our last for a while, boo hoo!!! Its all good though as Karen is looking to bring some exciting changes to the Sugar Nellie blog ... I'm so excited to see what that will include!! ..... I do so love the Sugar Nellie range, infact it was an inspirational post from Karen that started me blogging in the first place.
Sugar Nellie has so many fabulous girly images .... but they also cater for the boys in our life .. I have used a fabulous digi from Dina Duda, which you can find here ( this image is on sale at the mo, so its a good time to get it ) I printed out on Kraft and coloured it with prisma pencils ... I am kind of regretting adding the white shadow surrounding the image, it just seemed like a good idea at the time, guess you live and learn ..... The papers I bought forever when I went to Canada,
This month we have an amazing prize:
"As this is the last challenge, we have a
super duper sugar prize on offer to one lucky winner of this
challenge...you get to choose a Sugar Nellie bundle of your choice such
as Leanne Ellis, Simply Sassy, Gorjuss with papers and matching
embellishments....how fabby is that??"

The Sugar Bowl - April
Hello All,
Well its time for another challenge over at the Sugar Bowl ... & I have chosen the option of Springtime.
This may not look the most exciting card but I am rather impressed with it, as I made the whole thing in an hour!! ..... That never happens to me, but it was a case of needs must! .... although looking at it now I realize I have forgot to colour one of the flowers, how could I have missed that!!!!
I love this image and I have not used it in ages so it was nice to ink it up again.
Please don't forget to join us, there is as always the fabulous prize of 4 Sugar Nellie stamps. Look forward to meeting you in the Sugar Bowl.

Sparkle and Shine in the Sugar Bowl
Hello All,
Its time for another challenge over at the Sugar Bowl. This month we are looking for sparkle and Shine.
This is one of these cards that is fairly plain and simple but took me ages! I started with the fabulous Leanne Ellis - True Love image I stamped and embossed with black embossing powder, I used watercolour pencils to do the background and edges with distress inks, the image has been coloured with a combo of copics and prisma's , unfortunately due to the stamping with embossing powder I ended up with a weird grey shadow under her chin that I couldn't get rid of so I painted over with acrylic's it still shows but I am hoping I got away with it.
All the circles have been filled with Anita's Glaze and sprinkled with glitter. The background paper is handmade, I have used twinkling H2o's I have overstamped with a Bo Bunny script stamp, and I have used a Katy Sue stamp for the flowers again I used Anita's glaze over them, I finished off with doodling and more glitter .... I struggled getting the "sparkle and shine" to show up on the photo's so I have done a couple of close ups just to prove its there!! lol ...
I also would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge - Add sentiment
Daring Card Makers - All the other reasons
Sister Act - Anything Goes
As always thanks for looking

Sugar Bowl Challenge 104
He He ....... I cant quite believe this is real, I keep pinching myself !!! The bruises prove that I am really here telling you its time for a new challenge over at the sugar bowl!!! As always a fabulous prize of some lovely sugar is available so its well worth joining in!! As its anything goes, let your creativity go wild!! Cant wait to see what you all create!
Well ... first card as a sugarbowl sweetie! The hardest choice was to decide which to use ... I counted them up, I have 99 Sugar Nellies .... may need to go shopping it would be rude not to round it up to a 100!! .... I've cheated slightly and gone for 2!! I do love masking, and I love these 2 together. I have used High School Student and I Love to read both available from Funky Kits
I used some of my new yummy Tilda papers that I got on holiday. I made fake notepaper using my cropodile and scissors!! I stamped out the sentiment using an alphabet stamp that I have onto some of the scraps. Then I had to give everything a good sprinkling of frantage, some flowers gems and pearls.
As always thanks for looking
and dont forget to join us!
