Well can you believe it another month has passed and it is time for the 2
nd Challenge over at
By The Cute And Girly Laura has set us the challenge of "Winter Wonderland" we have had a lot of fun preparing for this one, and hope you will all join in with us too..here are my makes for the challenge:

This card has been made using a gorgeous stamp from "
Stamptivity Ltd" I actually
bought her in March and I have never yet inked her up, can you
believe that?! anyway, I thought she would make the perfect Snow Queen! I have stamped her a few times and layered up, I have coloured creating a paint from Mica Powders, also I coloured the lace of the dress with
sakura gel pens but water coloured it out. The and added some flower soft to create a fur
coller. The paper of the main card is from the "K&Co - wedding collection"..on the inside of the card I have also stamped some snowflakes and dusted over with Mica powders to
give a co- ordinated look. and finally added some glass beads.

I made this candle to co-ordinate with the card I made, again adding touches of flower soft.

I have to say this is the project I have been most excited about! It is something very different
for me, something I have never attempted before. While I was down south I went into a Hobby Craft shop, years
ago I always looked a the x stitch then the last 4 years or so it had been the
papercraft section, now as a result of "By the cute and
Girly" I have
rediscovered my
love of all crafts, so I felt the need to look at
absolutely everything!! Poor Hubby I took hours!
Any way I came across this kit designed for children, and it was for fashion designing, it had a tiny manikin and scraps of fabric, and I just loved the idea of that! However the kit was ridiculously expensive as it was really just a gimmick, so I walked the length and breath of the shop to see if they would sell the manikin on its own, and they didn't...then my hubby saw in the shop next door, some of these
jewelery stands, that were a dress form for £5 he suggested i buy that and cut the wires off, and that's what I did.
I have done dress making for myself before, but always using a pattern, I didn't have the confidence to design a pattern, also I have never done anything in
miniature like this..so I really enjoyed it. Below are a few photos I took during the
process of making it:

The Lighting is quite bad in most of these photo's I was working into the evening, hopefully it gives you an idea.
Please if you get a chance pop across to
By The Cute and Girly As all the girls have created some truly inspiring stuff which is well worth looking at!! and we are looking forward to see all your "Winter Wonderland" Makes too!!
Hugs
