Back with another card, Coloured this image up a while ago, and added a little extra detail to the edge of the card, using distress inks. I have teamed with some papers from DCWV and dies from Heartfelt creations.

Mixed Media with K&C and Saturated Canary

Hi All,

I love pretty steam punk images, and more and more I am getting into mixed media. Coloured this along with the Kit and Clowder Mixed Media class, which you can find here

I coloured up this Saturated Canary image ages ago, but never got round to finishing off the complete project, then I was randomly making a background with Dylusion black paint I then took a Tim Holtz stamp and stamped with white embossing powder .... I had other plan for it, but then thought .. oh that would work with the image I already have ... added a load of embellies, following the K&C class. I then added a few little scraps of paper from Hot off the press, and then I die cut a few cogs and added some guilding wax to make them look more real.

Hi All .. how are you today? As a lady who is a complete Tea Jenny ... I am drawn to any stamps or sentiments that involve tea ... normally because I can completely relate. I love this Saturated Canary Image .. I have coloured her up with my copics ... & teamed her up with some papers from my stash ... I am so sorry I have completely forgotten which paper pad they have been taken from ... will need to take better note, now I am trying to get back into blogging.

So, Its about time I got this blog thing moving again!!!

Coloured this Saturated Canary image using Copic'c ... as I created a whole scene decided to keep the embellies fairly simple so that the image stands out. ... I am quite proud of the little pumpkin Embellishment ... Its paper clay & I used a little mould in one of my daughters play doh sets .... have found some real treasures in her sets ... gradually building up a set of pre made embellishments.

At Last I see the light

Hi All,

This is a card I made quite a while ago now .. using a fabulous Little Darling stamp ... Think I would like to attempt colouring it again now that I have done a few more Create and Learn classes over at Kit and Clowder and am now getting more confident in colouring backgrounds.

This has been coloured up with copics ... I have kept the embellies quite simple, a little gold thread stitching, and a few dies. Also I have sprinkled a little frantage over the card too.

I have shared this on FB when I first made it so I am not entering it into any challenges today, but hope you enjoy looking at it none the less :-)

Last Ever Sugar Bowl Challenge

Hi All,

When Karen announced that she will be closing the doors on the Sugar Bowl Challenge and this would be the final one, I knew I just had to enter!! My first ever challenge entry in the magical world of blogland was in the Sugar Bowl .... and I was honoured to be on the Sugar Bowl DT for quite some time .... so I couldn't not be part of the last ever challenge.

This was a card that I made for my daughter to give her teachers on the last day of school ... unfortunately the photo is not the best quality, I quickly snapped it on my phone as we were running on the way to school :-)

I used a stamp from the Simply Sassy range and she has been coloured up with copics. I created a shaped card free hand ... and added bits and bobs to make it pretty, I made 3 of these as the Nursary she goes to has 3 lead teachers in the 1 class.

Midnight Run

Hi All,

Here is an image from Saturated Canary, that I have coloured up in Copics. On the 27th of Aug I will be doing the 5K Midnight Runway Run on behalf of Clic Sargent.

So when I saw this image of Krista's I had to colour it up, and wanted to create a whole scene, It has turned out to have quite a fantasy look about that but I love it!!

I am going to give this to my Friend Melissa at the end of the run. There is a group of over 20 runners running in her daughter Jenna's name, we have called ourselves Jenna's Joggers. Jenna was diagnosed with Leukaemia at the age of 2. Jenna is now 7 and has been in remission for 2 years. I remember a time together and heard Jenna say to her mum " Mum I don't want to die" .. when you hear a 3 year old say that is kind of stays with you. The charity Clic Sargent offered support, physically, emotionally and financially. I have seen first hand the difference this charity can make and so this is why I wanted to get involved and take part in this charity event.

I am not the kind of person that likes to ask for money for anything, so I am really going out of my comfort zone to even be asking for sponsors ... however if it is something you feel you would like to do then you can learn more by following the link to my just giving page

Kit and Clowder Mixed Media Class

Hello All,

Yes I hang my head in shame, it has been sooooo long since I have posted anything!!! I will not give a big long list of whys and wherefores however its safe to say I have been rather busy with lots of things. I have done the odd bit of crafting here and there ... I have kicked started myself with the Kit and Clowder mixed media class ... Have so enjoyed this, it feels like so long since I have picked up my pens, & even longer since I picked up a lot of my mixed media supplies, infact the last pages in my art journal are dated 2012.

I will be doing my best to pop round all your blogs and say hi, and see what you have been up to & hopefully I will be around a bit more often!

Anniversary Season

Hi All,

Its Anniversary season in our family, I am not quite sure what it is about March but we all chose that month to get married in ... Including myself, LOL!! ... so I am on a mission to get all the cards made on time.

This one is so far out of my comfort zone!!! ..... I normally cant cope with ribbons at all, I love them on everyone else's cards but for some reason I cant get them to work for me .... these ones I have beat into submission with a stapler, think this may be my new secret weapon!! The reason I have pushed myself out my comfort zone is this card is for my Auntie and she loves ribbon and fuss!!

I have used 2 images from Saturated Canary, and have colored it all up with my W9 copic markers, and then added a watercolour background. I have stitched the edges with gold thread and used some frantage. The papers are DCWV- Blackcurrant stack. I have die cut flowers using a heartfelt creation stamp & co-coordinating die set. Then I have rummaged in my neglected ribbon and flower box to get embellies to co-ordinate.

2 Pencils

Hi All,

A bit different from me today, no alcohol, LOL!!!! Yes no markers, I have coloured up this Saturated Canary image up using a 9B pencil, paper stump and putty rubber, and I added a touch of colour using a prisma pencil.

I have used up some really old papers that have been lurking in my stash forever, have stamped up a sentiment from papermania, added a little washi tape, and a few die cut flowers and butterflies.

blowing kisses

Hi All,

I had so much fun colouring up this one, it was done a couple of months ago, I was so excited to learn how to colour curly hair ... That I was suddenly pulling out all my images, that I bought and loved, but was a little daunted by as I was not sure how to tackle curly hair, thats part of the reason I love Alyce's classes so much they have really helped to give confidence.

The Sugar Bowl

Hi All,

Well that's another month past and it is time for another challenge in the Sugar Bowl. I have used a Simply Sassy image from the lovely Krista Smith, you can find this little sweetie here

Well I will give you a bit of a laugh, I just posted this card off to my mother in law yesterday, as she has a bad back, and my little post it note that I keep on the back of my cards with colour combo & materials used got posted too ...... whoopsie!!!! So when she gets it I may get her to send me the details so I can update my blog for you.

This is a gorgeous image from Saturated Canary/little darlings that I coloured up over the holidays, I so enjoyed turning her into a card.

Copic Journal

Hello All,

Well as you all know I have been taking the Kit and Clowder classes, I have completed the skin and hair one and I am almost done on the clothing one too ... In the classes Alyce encourages us to keep a copic journal, I so see the value in that, but as yet I have not yet started one, .... so this is me getting started.

The image is Saturated Canary image and surprisingly enough I have coloured her with copic's .. LOL

Sugar Bowl Challenge - January

Hi All,

I am here with my post for the latest Sugar Bowl challenge. We are starting the challenge early this month.

This image is Krista Smith "Party Frills" - which you can find here I have coloured it up with my copics and added a water colour background I have teamed it up with paper for echo Park and My minds eye. Decided to go for the shabby chic look, so have torn the edges and added a little frantage.

I'm posting this on holiday, and forgot to take my post it note with the copic I used, e.ct .... so will post those details later.

The Force of Love

Hi All,

Love this image from Saturated Canary .... I know so many Star Wars fans that I am sure it will be used a lot! I have coloured with Copic's and Prisma's  .. I went over the light sabers with a blue cosmic shimmer drawing ink but then regretted it as it covered up the colouring ... so I think next time I will use a pearlesant twinkling H2o. I then teamed it up with some papers from DCWV, a few die cut hearts to embellish.

A Life full of Giggles

Hi All,

I'm having major issues getting my photo right today, After ages of fiddling its still not right, but at least it should give you an idea. Been playing with another Saturated Canary image ... she has been coloured  with a combo of copic's and prismas. I have teamed it with papers from " My Minds Eye / Kate&Co " .... Again I have gone for a fairly simple layout ... think I am just going through a bit of a less is more phase.
