We Love to Create Challenge 10

Hi There Its time for another challenge over at we Love to Create .. where we would love you to share anything Mixed Media with us and we have some fabulous prizes from Polkadoodles for you to win.

For my make this month I have created a mixed media card, using some sticks and some old packaging to create some texture. I have then used the gorgeous new critter collection from Polkadoodles, which you can find here I created the mushrooms using the Foxy Fun Felt Kit and I have used the Nuts about you stamp set  for the little acorns and I have used the little dies from Beary Hugs.

We Love to Create - Challenge 8

 

Hi there, we have another Challenge over at We Love to Create ... its a fabulous opportunity to get all inky and play with mixed media.

 

I have made a tag, using lots of gorgeous Polkadoodles products, I started by adding some torn pieces of paper from the Posy Doodles paper pack I then layered some distress oxides over it & some of my mop up rice paper. I covered a little frame with black Gesso, and created a paper ribbon from some more of the paper pack. I have stamped onto fabric using Dotty about Flowers I then added some stitching detail. I then painted the back of the fabric using a mixture of 50% PVA & 50% water, once it was dry I cut round the flowers & finally I added a sentiment using Treasured Blooms stamp set.

We Love to Create

So Happy to be joining the We Love to Create this week. I have altered a little bird house, I painted it up with some Yellow and Pink Acrylic paint I then added some detail, stamping over with some White Gesso. I have used the gorgeous new stamps available from Polkadoodles  Time to Bloom I used the little edging stamp to create a border. I then stamped out the little bird and some flowers and coloured up with my zig pen's. I then fussy cut and used to decorate.

For this card I used the A4 papers ... I then cut out circles in co-ordinating papers. I inked the edges with distress oxide peacock feathers. I then stamped in the circles using Special Times Clear Stamps . I used a inktense pencil to create shadowing around the circles to help them stand out and added some strips of paper from the Posy Doodles 6x6 paper stack. I stamped the flowers on watercolour card stock and used my sparkle pens to colour them up, shaped them and added to the card to create a little dimension. Then At the end I did a little doodling around the circles with a white pen & added lots of paint splashes.

GDT at We Love to Create

Hi All,

I'm really delighted to have been asked to be a GDT at the We Love to Create Challenge blog. I love Mixed media ... and this time enjoyed playing & experimenting in my journal.

I used lots of tags and chipboard letters as a base to create texture, and then covered over it all with a layer of white gesso. I then used some Lindy's Stamp Gang magicals, just sprinkled some of the powder over and sprayed with water and watched the magic happen. I emphasised the edges of the tags, by going round the edges with an inktense watercolour pencil.

I did some over stamping with the text script from Belle Papillion and used the butterflies as a feature ( they have been coloured using SN sparkle pens ) and then finally added a sentiment.
