Guest Designer at City Crafter

Hello All,

I feel so honoured to have been asked by the girls at City Crafter The Theme this week is Do ya doodle .... I am afraid I have not come up with the most imaginative form of doodling, however the stitching detail on this card has been hand drawn..... Its a fun challenge, it would be so great If you lovely bloggy friends of mine would be able to join in !!!

I have used a Sassy Design Studio image, and I have coloured with my copics .... and I have raided my scrap paper collection to put this card together!!

I am sorry I have not been about to much recently, life has just taken over at the mo, and I have not had much time for crafting or blogging, I do hope to catch up with you soon!!

Take Care

Fancy A Cuppa???

Hello All,

I apologise for the rather picture heavy post!!.....This is a very random project, I am not sure why It popped into my head to make it..... I Love Tea!!!!! and so I thought of the poem " I like a nice cup of Tea"...and got out all my images that included tea.... I have a nice random mix from Sugar Nellie, Krafting Kimmie, Sassy Studio Designs, Kanban and Bugaboo.......Oh and the free stamp from this months Craft Stamper magazine.

This has been made from all my Scraps...with little bits of card I have cut out various shapes with my nesties....all the papers are from that never ending scrap pile of mine!!!....

I have coloured the images with copics, and I have used distress inks - spun sugar, tumbled glass and shabby shutters, to colour tint the edges of things.

This is my entry for:

Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes
Fussy and Fancy - Anything But a Card
Stamp Something - something digi ( I have used a sassy studio designs, and a bugaboo digi image)

PaperPlay - Anything but a Card.

Thank you very much for looking...I am sorry I have not been in and around blogland this week....I have so much on at the mo....as I guess most of you do!!!!...I promise I will catch up soon!

Belle

Hello All,

Well I have to pack all my crafting stuff up...but to go on holiday so its not too bad, plus I do plan on doing some crafting with my Auntie when I am away, I just have loads off things to do before we head off, however last night I suddenly realised that I needed an anniversary card for today......I for some reason had coloured this fab Sassy Studio Designs image, but had not got round to using yet......I created the background paper using "distress ink - mustard seed" and the little flourish is from "Kanban - peacock" , and I very quickly matted and layered it up, and added a couple of gems.

As always thanks so much for looking

From This Moment On........

Hello All...... I am being quite soppy today, the challenge at Simon Says, is to make something inspired by a song. I have chosen "From This Moment On" by Shania Twain...we had that as our wedding song......awhhh!!....... I thought it was perfect for this post I have the wedding card, and and anniversary...so from the moment of the wedding onward!

I was asked by a friend to make an 11th wedding anniversary card for her daughter...also people are beginning to ask for wedding cards, so I am still on the wedding card drive (I had planned to take a picture of all 40 when I had finished, but they are disappearing already....oh well!!!)....any hoo...I was a bit Lazy instead of thinking of 2 different designs I just made 2 cards the same and adapted them slightly.

The fab image is from "Sassy Studio Design" and I have coloured with copics, and a "Marvy - Just Glitter" pen for added sparkle. The Papers are "papermania"...various ones in thier wedding collection. and I have used "Spellbinders shapeabilities - flower creations 3" for the flowers.

This is my entry for:

Simon Says - Sing it baby (From this moment on - Shania Twain)
Crafty Creations - Wedding or Anniversary
Dare to be Sassy - Free Style
One Stop Craft - Patterns (I have used damask)

The same but different.

Hello All,

Well I am back home again with a computer that works at a normal rate!! whooo hooo!!! I am still trying to play catch up, but I will be round to visit you all soon....I am still catching up on work stuff and housework e.c.t...but I am getting there, I actually got to the bottom of my ironing pile for the first time since I can remember so I am feeling very pleased with myself!!

Anyway onto my cards....yes still wedding, I have now reached number 25, but the first wedding is in 2 weeks, so I know all my friends will be asking for them very soon, I am getting a bit panicky about getting the last 15 done!

These were really simple, but hopefully still nice...I had some "craftwork cards" scallop cards and squares, so I have just created a fold back, done a little matting an layering with some gorgeous pearlised paper which I got from my trip to Craft World, in Glasgow....fabulous shop, I Love it!! Both the images are from "Sassy Studio Design" and I have coloured with copics, and a glitter pen to highlight the dresses. Finally I have punched out some flowers, and coloured them with copics to coordinate with the images.

This is my entry for:

ABC - Zig Zag card (it is a z shape, I have just not photographed it very well....sorry!)
Stamp Something - Something flowery

Acetate Wedding

Hello All.....well I am back to weddings, I just cant help myself !!!! I have so many ideas for wedding cards floating around my head that I have become incapable of creating any other type of card!..........and before I go on.......how do you actually go about photographing a see through card!!!

I saw this Sassy Studio Design, and just HAD to have it! I have coloured with my copics and added some loose glitter.

The Acetate was from a Kanban kit that I bought forever ago, infact I forgot I had this, but I discovered it, as I was once again trying to reorganize some boxes....and the flowers are from an old Dawn Bibby kit.....and the gems have been coloured with copics so they would match.

This is my entry for:

Dare to be Sassy Thursdays

365 cards - Something old,new,borrowed, blue

Thanks for popping by and having a look at my creation, its much appreciated!

wedding cake

Hello All,

How are you..I have had a really lovely day, have had a little trip to Elgin today and visited "Paper Boutique" where there was some fab demonstrations going on...got some fab demos on making flowers...shrinkies..chipboard books, and lots of really lovely things. spent lots...and I also I picked up my new Leanne Ellis stamps!! whooo hoooo!!!! cant wait to play, I have loads of lovely ideas floating around my head!!

Anyway onto this card, I actually started it yesterday, and I finished off this eve...I am quite slow at the mo, due to some ongoing health issues..but never mind I got there in the end.

This fab wedding cake is from the fab "polkadoodles - paper boutique" cd......I have to admit I am struggling with the whole template thing....the finished cards look a bit home made, instead of handmade, so if anyone has any tips on how to get them looking a bit more professional I would love to hear them.

I covered the card in paper "sandy lion - wedding roses"...and all the edges have been tinted with "distress ink - worn lipstick" The white flowers are blank flower shapes from "polkadoodles - all around and everywhere" which I have copied into my craft studio and re sized, I have colour tinted the edges, and shaped a little and added some pink gems. The little pink flowers have been made using an "x-cut" punch.

The Scallops of icing were part of the template which I have put on with 3d foam and covered with stickles.

Finally the couple on the top of the cake are from "Sassy Studio Designs"...I have just coloured them slightly with my copics.

This is my entry for:

Die Cut Dreams - Make your own flowers (2nd entry)
Cute Card Thurs - Make your own (I have made my own flowers)
C.R.A.F.T - shaped card
Cupcake Challenge - don't be square
By The Cute and Girly - celebrations

Once again thanks for looking...and putting up with all my waffle!!

A Sassy Anniversary

Hi all.....another squint photograph!

This is a card I made for friends who were celebrating thier 25th wedding anniversary. In the end I didn't use a sentiment on the card, as anything I had in just didn't look right.

The fab image is from Sassy Studio Designs Which I have coloured using my copics! I had to alter his hair slightly and give him a bit of an afro, it didn't look quite right without it...hope that is ok.The pale pink paper is "sandylion - wedding roses" and the white paper with the swirls is "Kanban" The fabulous pink ribbon, was a gift from Bernie which she kindly popped in as an extra when I won her fab Sugar Nellie Candy!

I have tried just to keep this card simple..hope you like it.

Knight in Shining Armour

This is another Fabulous design from Sassy Studio Designs...I Just Love it!!! and I have coloured it using my copics. The Grey paper is "Papermania - Capsule Collection" the little bit of pink paper is from my scrap DP's and I have overstamped it using " Hero Arts - Manuscript background"

I have distressed all the edges using my craft knife....first time I have done this! ( I know I am a little slow on the uptake!) I normally tear it or sand think I prefer the results this way...I have done loads of faux stitching..I love real stitching, but it is such a pain to get my sewing machine out so it happens very rarely!

Arn't the little crochet flowers gorgeous!! I got these from the lovely parcel sent to me by Magda!........I have turned my hand to most crafts over the years..probably a case of jack of all trades master of none! But I have never managed to master crochet.....my Dad is amazing, and has tried to teach me many times, but it just never happened...so I am very impressed by these flowers!.....I have popped a few pearls in the centre of the flowers...and there is organza ribbon on there too, its just hard to see on the photo, so you may want to click on it to get a better look!.......and of course what is a damsel in distress without a gorgeous glittery dress...so I had to add stickels!

On a compete tangent on the Strictly show I saw on Saturday..on the last Professional dance Natalie had the most amazing dress, that had lights on it...it was just beautiful..I want one!!!!

This is my entry for:

Pile it on - Flowers
Crafty Calender - Love and friendship
Stamping for the weekend - Love is in the air
Crafty card Makers - Digital Delights
Totally Gorjuss - Feel the Love

Mad as Hatter!!

OMW....have you seen the new designs as Sassy Studio Designs They are just sooooooo gorgeous!! they have been based on Alice in wonderland, but with a definite sassy twist...I am in love..quite a lot of them fell into my basket the other night!!

Just Love the Sassy Hatter...maybe because I am mad! and a total Tea Jenny!!!!

Again I have used some papers from the scrap pile..I think they are "creative expressions" I got them from a QVC kit called "Vintage Tea Time" I have sanded all the edges, added faux stitching...and the mat of the main image has been sponged using "distress ink - worn lipstick" Then I have added some buttons..ribbon and gems!!

P.S....the colours of my image do match the papers in real life..I just cant get it to photograph well, so they look a tad bright!!
