Digi Chooseday - Week 13

Hello,

Time for another Digi Chooseday. As always the theme is Anything Goes, although the team were asked to use a deisgn sheet. I have chosen one from the lovely Sticks and Bones Collection ... I love this collection, It reminds me of the film " The Croods" .. which my daughter has watched many many times!!!!  you can find the design sheet here I printed the layers a couple of times so I could add dimension. I also added a few little extra embellishments .. from the full bundle, which you can find here  & finally I added a little quirky animal print to the edge of the card, using one of the little stamps from the Summertime - Stamps made easy collection. Which you can find here

Mixed Media Houses

Hi All,

This is a card I made to help me wage war on all my scraps. All the houses are made from scrap papers that I cut in random shapes to sort of resemble quirky houses, lots of layers of Gesso's and inks have been added, lots of stamping and a bit of heat embossing.

Digi Chooseday - Week 12

Hello All,

Its Digi Chooseday again, and as always the challenge is Anything Goes ...

I'm very excited to share my make with you this week .... I have been pinning lots of gorgeous Altered Art on pinterest, including lots of altered paintbrushes, so when the team were asked to make anything but a card I was given the push I needed to stop pinning & start creating.

One of my most favourite things Nikky has come up with, is stamp soup. I LOVE it !!!! this time though there has been no stamping but I have used loads of elements from the Little Kingdom selection which you can find here

So I bought a cheap paintbrush & covered with lots of Gesso. On the handle of the brush, I glued on some papers from the little kingdom ... & then knocked it back again with a bit of gesso ... I then added a bit of dimension, using some textured paste and some of the lindy stamp gang mica powders.

I then painted the bristles with some Dylusion pink paint, and I added a little extra detail using some blue distress crayons. Once I got the base prepared with lots of layers. I started to decorate. I added the lace and pom poms. I cut out loads of flowers, leaves, little houses, trees & butterflies. & arranged to my hearts content.

The gorgeous flowers Nikky created, had lovely swirls with little hearts dangling from them, however my fussy cutting is just not that good!! so I added them back in by twisting a little floral wire & glued the little hearts onto the wire & glued to back of flower, so it still maintained the lovely look that Nikky had created. & then I added some final details with some little dew drops.

Graphic 45 Anniversary

Hi All,

Back with another card .... No stamping or colouring, shock horror!!!!!

I was commissioned to make an anniversary card. I have used Graphic 45 Ladies Diary papers, cut lots of elements out ... honestly I do own a Brother Scan and Cut ... Yet I have not taken the time to play properly, so I ended up cutting all the elements by hand, I really could make my life so much easier for myself!!! ... I have added a few little extra swirls using Leonie Pujol's entwined heart, die collection. & played with lots of techniques .. bit of frontage on there & got my glossy accents out for the first time in forever .. lol.

Just a Note

Hi All,

Back with another card, Coloured this image up a while ago, and added a little extra detail to the edge of the card, using distress inks. I have teamed with some papers from DCWV and dies from Heartfelt creations.

Digi Chooseday - week 11

Hello All,

Time for another challenge over at Digi Chooseday, although week 10 is still open for another week, so plenty of time to have a play and join us.

 This week I have used another Serenity image this week .. this time I have used Serenity Blossom, which you can find here or you can buy the whole collection here its been reduced to £7.99 .. so perfect time to buy :-)

Once again I have been playing with my copic markers, I have also added some detail to her dress with Spica pens ... and added a little fairy dust swirl with a white posca pen and spica pens. I added a couple of extra details to the background using stamps from the Lavender Tea stamp soup set which you can find here  We were asked to use lots of green so I have pulled out some gorgeous papers from the Eden collection, which you can find here I have kept the design quite simple, but created a few flowers using the papers and the gorgeous Daisydays stamps which can be found here

Digi Chooseday Week 10

Hello All,

I am here with my Digi Chooseday make. I was in my element this week as I got to colour. I chose a beautiful image from the Serenity collection. This little beauty is called Serenity Star Dust and you can find her here I have coloured her up using my copics and have added a few touches of sparkle with the gorgeous Spectrum Noir sparkle pens. I then teamed her up with some gorgeous papers from the Octavia Frosted Winter collection, which you can find here

I added a little distress ink to the edges, and coloured the stars with distress ink too and of course added a little sparkle. A few ribbons, die cuts and embellies to finish it off.

I hope you all like and it has given you a little inspiration. I also really hope that you will come and join us, so I can be inspired by you all too.
