Sassy Bride take 2

Hi All,

Another card with this fab sassy bride..I love this image!! I have coloured her with my copics. I have kept the overall card quite simple...the shaped card and the vellum, and the vellum flowers are from a " Dawn Bibby" kit from forever ago... I wanted a matching mat to the card to stick my bride on, I didn't have anything, so I have actually used an old envelope....and finally I have added a couple of gems to finish it off.

This is my entry for:

Alphabet Challenge - I is for icy colours
Our Creative Corner - Blues and Greens (there is green on the leaves in her bouquet)
Tuesday Taggers - Wedding Day.

Thanks for looking! Hugs Juls

A Sassy Bride

Hello All,

I am so sorry I have abandoned my blog a little...and I have not been around to visit you all as much as I should have, I am afraid I have been a tad distracted by Wimbledon......this happens every year, I become incapable of doing anything..housework, work, cooking, crafting...I just get so drawn into a match that I forget to eat and breathe!! and wow what a Wimbledon it has been so far!!!......I will not go on too much, for those don't want to hear any more about sport!!

I am again on the wedding theme..I have had a few of you ask, why so many wedding cards...I have 5 friends getting married this year, and probably at least 5 or 6 of my friends per wedding, that will want me to make a card for them, I am trying to be organised and have a good stock in, but the first wedding is looming!!...

I am not sure on this one...with being so distracted by the tennis, my mojo has gone a little AWOL...when I finally get into my craft room, I have not idea what I am doing. Also I have done so many soft pretty cards that this is so much of a contrast that it has left me not quite liking the results....I was aiming for a more modern funky look.....I want to try and make sure I have a wide variety of cards for my friends to look at, to cater for different tastes e.c.t.

The image is one of the Fab new digi images from Shirley 2 girls....I have coloured with my copics, and added some loose glitter, with the old quicky glue pen. The pink paper is "Bo Bunny - Jardin Blush" and all the other papers are from my scraps...and for the finishing touches I have added lace, ribbon, and adhesive glitter dots.

This is my entry for:

Crafty Catz - Lets go digital
Pink Elephant - Challenge 72 Pink/Black
SG2 Twisted Thursdays - Something New (I have used brand new digi image)
Quirky Crafts - Ribbons
Crafty Creations - Shine

Tilda's Wedding Album

Hello All,

Yes you've guessed it ....another wedding card!!!! I am sorry there are quite so many photos, I love making these accordion books, but they are incredibly difficult to photograph.

Again I have used these fab Magnolias, which I have coloured with copics. I have used some more of the "Dawn Bibby" vellum....and I have dug out some old "K&Co" Stickers from a kit I bought forever ago to use as the sentiments. The embossing has been done using "Spellbinders - Impressabilities - Flourish" and I have created the little flowers using x-cut punches, they have been colour tinted with copics. I also made a little charm, using shrink plastic...I am not that good at the whole shrinky thing so it is a little bobbly, but hey ho.....And as always, a few pearls and a little stickles.

This is my entry for:

Magnolia Down Under
- Embossing
Cardvarks - Embossing
Creative Craft World - Wedding
Cupcake - Strawberries and cream ( I have gone for the colour combo option)
Tuesday Throwdown - Dry Embossing
S2G Challenges - blushing bride/ something old (the vellum is from a kit I baught forever ago, when I first started cardmaking, and the stickers have to be at least 2 years old)
Pile it on - Stickers

The Flowers were made using my "x-cut" punches I have tinted them slightly with my copics and finally I have blinged it all up with gems, pearls and stickles!!!

Wedding Flowers

Hello All,

Well I am back to the wedding cards.....I have quite a lot of cute cards done so I thought I would like to try something a little different for me...I want to cater for different styles and tastes.

It has taken me ages to try the white on white...I always loved it but was a little scared of it, but now I am hooked!...........No stamping on this card, (shock horror!!)

I have covered the card with a "Dawn Bibby" vellum....I have had this forever, it was from a kit I bought when I first started this whole crafting Lark! I have used a "Sizzix" die to create the sentiment. The embossed detail is "Spellbinders - Impressabilities - Flourish" The flowers have been created using some pearl paper I had in my stash and "Spellbinders - Shapeabilities - Flower creations 3 & Assorted leaves" I also used a little "x-cut" punch for the tiny flowers. then I have just blinged up with some dew drops, gems and pearls.

Although this is not my usual style, I have to admit I am really happy with the results!

This is my entry for:

My Time to Craft - Xtra Special ( I have gone for the special occasion option)
Creative Inspirations - Monochrome
Paper Play - Something Old (the vellum I have had forever, It was from my very first crafting kit I bought)
Secret Crafter, Saturday Challenge - Anniversary/Wedding
Craftalicious Challanges - Monotone
Once again thanks for looking

A Fairytale

Hello All,

How are you? well I think I have gone a tad crazy with this one. Anyway my idea behind this one was to create a fairyland where all the characters in fairytales live....a bit like in shrek! In My head I was going to use all the characters but in reality the card was too small, so I tried to go for ones that were instantly recognisable as famous fairytale characters.

I have used some of the images that I purchased during my mad splurge at "Sir Stampalot" and some of the images were sent to me by a lovely bloggy friend! I have coloured them all with my copics...I had to hand draw in the rest of the wall. I have added a chipboard swirl, some punched flowers and bling.

The little Fairy has been attached with acetate, so she actually floats in the centre of the card.

This is my entry for:

Magnolia down under - swirly swirls (I have stamped some swirls and used a swirl chipboard piece)
Charisma cardz - Bling
Crafty Creations - Its a stitch up

A White Wedding

Hello All,

I have been a very naughty girl....I have spent more money than I care to admit at the lovely sirstampalot! I have bought rather a lot of these gorgeous new wedding magnolias. Well I still have 30 wedding cards to make, so whats a girl to do??!!!

I LOVE this image so much, as soon as I saw it I knew I needed it!!! as I was making this card it was reminding me of a time when I was 6 and my little sister was 4 and we were bridesmaids for one of my mums friends. We carried a little basket of flowers just like this little sweetie. there are some really gorgeous photos of us all in the park, the photographer wanted us all to sit on the grass and spread our dresses out, but my little sister refused. She had been threatened that she was not to get her tights dirty, and she was just doing what she was told!!!....I feel a scrapbook page coming on, but first I must get these wedding cards done......I am just so slow!!

Anyway back to my card...I have stamped this out several times to create a decoupage, I stamped on plain card, but also on pearl papers to give the dresses a sheen. I have covered the card in some vellum that I had. The embossed detail has been created using "Spellbinders Impressabilities - flourish" I have done the flowers from the same pearl papers as the dresses I used "spellbinders shapeabilities - flower creations 3" and a small flower punch. then I have blinged it up with gems and pearls.

I wanted to keep it quite simple. Also I love the white on white look, but I have never been brave enough to try it for myself.

This is my entry for:

Cardvarks - wet or dry embossing
Copic creations - other paper ( I used copics to colour on pearlised paper to create the dresses.

As always thanks for looking
